Summary: Successful applicant responsibilities will include but not be limited to the maintenance and setup of all event related equipment/assets for our food and beverage departments. Responsible for completing maintenance, based upon schedules in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety and performance standards, and all government regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to supervise, & provide leadership when directing temporary workers
  • Assist manager in maintaining mobile equipment inventories
  • Prepare and submit log books and fuel logs for service vehicles
  • Maintenance of equipment to ensure equipment is in safe and working order in accordance with Health, Fire, Safety and Regulatory guidelines
  • Notify manager of concerns with any equipment
  • Direction and scheduling provided by from Fleet Operations/Maintenance Manager
  • Responsible for set up of all event equipment
  • Work closely with manager and have daily discussions to report event progress
  • Assist with loading equipment on trailers
  • Travel is required and long event hours
  • Ability to drive consistency, strategic and innovative initiatives

Qualifications/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. ( Jr. college, college and/or technical school graduate a plus ) or 1+ years’ experience in maintenance position or combination of both
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance with no restrictions. CDL Class A very helpful
  • Experience in electric, plumbing, carpentry or appliance repair a plus
  • Forklift certification needed. We can train
  • Be able to lift more than 50lbs.
  • Be able to take direction and work well with others
  • Strong attention to details, cost effectiveness and a keen sense of priority.

Concessions Manager - Americrown Service Corporation (Kansas City, KS)

Summary:  Must have 3-5 years of experience in prior sports and entertainment venue setting.  Concessions Manager is responsible for the overall operation of a concession facility. This includes (but is not limited to) staffing, ordering, scheduling, training, setup, execution, and post-event reconciliation/analysis.  Will partner with Directors, Executive Chef, and venue leadership to design and execute high quality presentations and exceed fan expectations while maximizing revenue, minimizing expenses, and improving the concessions experience.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong supervisory, leadership, and communication skills

  • Supervise up to 2000 employees and volunteers

  • Direct reports may include up to 5 full-time employees

  • Set and manage budgets up to $5MM per event

  • Recruit and train hourly staff, supervisors, and non-profit volunteer groups

  • Analyze and optimize concessions operation for throughput

  • Understand how to open and close inventory based sales

  • Set goals and map the path to achieving those goals

  • Manage payroll to keep labor below budgeted amount for all events

  • Assess inventory needs and place orders with all suppliers

  • Manage waste and arrange to receive credits where applicable with suppliers

  • Maintain equipment in good working order

  • Ability to drive consistency & strategic and innovative initiatives

  • Partner with health department, fire marshal, and other regulatory commissions

Facility Operations/Security: Electrician
PA System / Electrical Technician Asst. - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:  Plan, setup, and manage audio/visual aspects of Daytona Intl. Speedway related events. This includes large spectator events and track and client meeting room rentals.  Specifically, this position involves implementing, maintaining, servicing and monitoring public address and intercom, specialty sound systems and minor electrical maintenance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Setup/install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions.

  • Work closely with the DIS Operations, Venue Tech, and Sales teams on upcoming events.  Act as an integral part in the production team of racing events at DIS.

  • Install, maintain & repair public address/intercom, specialty sound systems, and other system related components/equipment.

  • Performs system level diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure public address/intercom, specialty sound systems and other system related components/equipment are operational.

  • Skilled in the use of tools and equipment employed in testing and repairing of equipment.

  • Assists with surveying facilities and making recommendations for the layout and location of system, components, equipment, cabling, and wiring.

  • Provide technical support to radio broadcast, TV broadcast, and cable TV (video) during events.

  • Respond to questions and needs of end-users concerning supported systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Other duties as assigned.

DIRECTION EXERCISED: Directly supervise a seasonal employee or vendor during events in accordance with the policy and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Venue Technology Engineer is responsible for providing Audio/Visual, Infrastructure and Communications oversight of Daytona International Speedway stadium.  This position works within the DIS Operations team and closely with the ISC project management team on implementation & maintenance of technology.

       

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine technical requirements of event productions or projects, coordinate logistics and activities of production personnel.

  • Manage stadium venue show operations to ensure proper functioning.

  • Assist the Event Operations team as need to support events.

  • Ability to draw detailed or technical illustrations, source selection support, contract management oversight, document updates, staff meetings, other action items as directed.

  • Technical proposal writing/review, briefing reviews, coordination of meetings, on-site support, troubleshooting support.

  • Identify opportunities for new capabilities, vendor interfaces to technical and senior staff.

Security and Parking Event Staff - Event/Temporary - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Security Officer: Provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. Screen all persons entering ticketed and/or secure areas for valid credentials/tickets. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Parking Staff: Serve as positive first point of contact with guests. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow to proper areas. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

SUMMARY: Performs skilled tasks in the diagnosis, mechanical repair, maintenance and calibration of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and control systems including electrical and plumbing and

related mechanical equipment such as controls, pumps, motors, compressors, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks such as checking equipment operation, cleaning, lubrication, changing filters, adjusting and repairing HVAC equipment and controls, etc., consistent with the Manufacturer’s Equipment Operation and Repair Manuals and standards of good practice.

  • Responds to temperature complaints, diagnoses problems, identifies solution, and makes necessary adjustments to assure adequate indoor air quality is maintained.

  • Calibrate/adjust/repair/replace temperature, humidity and air equipment and control devices such as chillers, pumps, cooling towers, evaporative coolers, condensing units, fan coil units, air handlers, exhaust fans, thermostats, sensors, humidistats, relays, timers, electric (digital) controls, electronic controls, damper motors/dampers, switches, and other related control devices on commercial and multi-zone heating and cooling systems

  • Uses diagnostic equipment and line diagrams to trouble shoot problems and identify solutions.

  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals

  • Basic welding, brazing, and soldering as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Operations Dispatcher(Seasonal) - Michigan International Speedway (Brooklyn, MI)

SUMMARY

The Operations Dispatcher will assist with operating the MIS Operations Dispatch during NASCAR Race weeks and Faster Horses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  1. Dispatch Center Calls and Texts/ISS 24

    1. Will answer calls/texts that come into the Operations Dispatch Center.

    2. Input the call/text into the ISS 24 program to document the reason for the call and the steps taken to handle the situation.

    3. Notify the appropriate personnel needed to handle the situation.

  2. Staff Credentialing

    1. Assist staff needing MIS hard card credentials by taking their picture and printing their credentials.

    2. Ensure each staff member has filled out the proper credential forms and each credential is stickered properly for the upcoming event.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have good one-to-one skills, comfortable in stressful environments, and have good note taking skills.   The applicant should also be familiar with computers and comfortable working with one.

 

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

This job requires an individual that is willing to work long hours throughout the event week and weekend.  The individual applying for this position must also have organizational and interpersonal skills and willing to be part of a team based work environment.

Event Time Parking Staff - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

POSITION SUMMARY
Talladega Superspeedway has openings for part-time Parking Staff for NASCAR and other publicly ticketed events throughout the year. This is a seasonal position working on-site at Talladega Superspeedway assisting with event parking. Event Parking Staff are often the first representatives to greet fans and must provide exceptional customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a staff member working in one of our preferred parking lots, providing exceptional customer service to all event patrons. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Selling parking passes to all walk-up customers

    • Process cash payments

  • Develop a working knowledge of Talladega Superspeedway pricing, policies, procedures and general event information. As the first line for guest questions, Event Ticketing Staff must be able to answer questions or direct guests in the proper direction.

  • Direct vehicle traffic flow to proper areas

  • Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility and parking assistance

  • Assist with other duties assigned by Ticket Operations Manager or the Director of Ticketing.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and ability to provide a high level of customer service is required

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high energy environment

  • Event staffing or ticket sales experience preferred, but not required

  • Flexible schedule during the event

  • Previous cash handling experience preferred

  • Reliable transportation to and from Talladega Superspeedway


    OTHER INFO
    This is a part time, hourly position working only during major event weekends. Some shifts may begin as early as 5:00am; exact hours to be determined.

Event Tram Drivers - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

Position Summary
Event Tram Drivers are responsible for driving trucks and/or tractors that pull trams on an assigned route and better the guest experience here at Talladega. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid Class A, B, or C CDL with current physical. Drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle Report before being considered

Responsibilities of the Tram Driver:

  • Drive the assigned route in a safe manner

  • Enforcing Speedway policies and procedures

  • Providing event information to all guests

  • Checking your Truck/Tractor and Tram to make sure all is in working order

  • All other duties assigned by Tram Manager and TSS Management

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Class A, B, or C CDL with current physical

    • *P Endorsement preferred but not required

  • Strong communications and customer service skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment

  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned

Reporting Relationships:

Dates/Hours Needed:

Event Tram Drivers are ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Main events run May, October and July with possible smaller events throughout the year. Shift length: At Least 10-12 hours depending on specific event needs and event conditions. Pay Rate: $12/hr.

Position Summary
Ushers are an important part of the Talladega Superspeedway Experience.  We are currently searching for the best talents to become a member of the Usher Team. As a member you will be responsible for bringing our guest an unforgettable racing experience here at the biggest and baddest track in NASCAR!

Responsibilities of the Usher:

  • Checking your area before gates open to make sure all is in cleanly and in working order

  • Greet and welcome each guest and thank each guest as they leave the event

  • Have a strong understanding of the Talladega Superspeedway stadium layout to provide guests with directions to seating sections, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops and other facility services and amenities

  • Serves as an information specialist and knowledgeable about each event in order to respond appropriately to guest comments, questions, and requests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

  • Handle a variety of customer inquiries  in a professional manner including but not limited to seating/ticket issues

  • Assisting guests with the location of their seats

  • Enforcing Speedway policies and procedures

  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas

  • Look for opportunities to enhance the guest experience

  • All other duties assigned by Usher Team Leaders, and TSS Management

Qualifications:

  • Ability to review written and electronic materials (Tickets) in both digital and physical format

  • Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and personable

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to memorize layout of Talladega Superspeedway in order to answer guests general questions (seating sections, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops and other facility services and amenities)

  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment

  • Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time (8-12 hours)

  • Ability to work outside in variable seasonal weather conditions

  • Ability to work with others and take direction

  • Must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearance at all times.
