Facility Operations/Security: Event Guest Relations
Guest Services Representative (Part -Time) - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Daytona International Speedway is seeking a Guest Services Representative for the Guest Services desk in the lobby of the Tours building.  This is a Part-Time position that will mainly be scheduled on the weekends and major event days with some weekday shifts.  Applicants for this position should be outgoing and exhibit a willingness to help others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide helpful, accurate information and directions to Guests attending Daytona International Speedway tours and events

  • Work with Tour and Ticketing staff to facilitate positive Guest experiences with Tours program

  • Greet, check-in and issue credentials to our VIP Tour Guests

  • Assist with Guest check-in and waiver signatures for the Richard Petty Driving Experience

  • Assist and direct Guests attending hospitality events occurring in the Tours building

  • Open and close Guest areas of the Tours building including doors, theatre, and grandstands

  • Answer multi-line phone; transfer calls as needed

  • Assist with collecting, tracking and documenting return of Lost & Found items

  • Keep a tidy work area. Inspect work area and relay maintenance or inventory needs to supervisor

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.  Complete incident reports as required for accidents or injuries to Guests or staff

  • Other duties or assignments as needed

 Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a desire to be part of the Daytona International Speedway team

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with coworkers and Guests

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work:

    • Mainly weekend shifts and some weekday shifts to support existing staff open shifts

    • Extended hours during event time including early morning and/or late evenings, holidays, and weekends

    • Must be available during all race events

  • Ability to work independently, including opening and closing duties

  • Understanding of the Speedway and general race knowledge

  • Ability to operate office equipment, DVD player, and two-way radios

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programs

  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a calm and pleasant manner

Tour Guide and Driver (Part-time) - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Conduct Daytona International Speedway Tours (Speedway Tour, All Access Tour and VIP Tour) in a professional and informative manner.

  2. Ensure safety of guests.

  3. Prepare trams at the start of the shift (i.e. check fuel, oil, water and all other fluids as necessary).

  4. Assist guests with special needs and ensure ADA compliance.

  5. Complete necessary paperwork (i.e. guest log sheet, incident and vehicle condition reports and closing sheets).

  6. Memorize and deliver various tour script narratives to guests in a clear and exciting presentation.

  7. Drive multi-unit trams, pickup trucks with single and double Featherlite trams and a 28 passenger bus to deliver daily tours and during event time.

  8. Drive Richard Petty Driving and Ride Experience guests to the infield and return to Tours area.

  9. Operate walkie-talkie radio in proper and professional manner for clear and concise communications with Tour team and Ticket Operations.

  10. Enhance guest's knowledge of Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR and motorsports in general.

  11.  Assist in training new Tour staff.

  12. Other duties as assigned and available to work during events at Daytona International Speedway with Event Tram Operations plus Speedway Show Car Operations.

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
  • CPR/Defibrillation course (can be completed at the onset of employment).
  • Clean driving record (verifiable by company background check).

Physical Demands

  • The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 60 pounds (i.e. change a tram unit tire) and be able to work in all elements.

Added Candidate Attributes (a plus but not necessary)

  • Foreign language skills (French, Spanish, German, etc.).

Seasonal Credentials Assistant - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for the day-to-day staff badge operation which includes taking employee photos, loading photos into the personnel system, printing badges and recording waiver signatures for all employees who receive a staff badge.  May also be asked to assist in other credential distribution duties when not engaged in badge printing duties.

  • Responsible for the loading/unloading of the show car into the hauler and to/from appearance locations.

  • Deliver and set up show car promptly and on time.

  • Examine show car, hauler and truck on an ongoing basis to determine operating status and report any issues to Operations Manager.

Event Tram Drivers - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

Position Summary
Event Tram Drivers are responsible for driving trucks and/or tractors that pull trams on an assigned route and better the guest experience here at Talladega. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid Class A, B, or C CDL with current physical. Drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle Report before being considered

Responsibilities of the Tram Driver:

  • Drive the assigned route in a safe manner

  • Enforcing Speedway policies and procedures

  • Providing event information to all guests

  • Checking your Truck/Tractor and Tram to make sure all is in working order

  • All other duties assigned by Tram Manager and TSS Management

Qualifications:

Guest Services Gate Ambassador - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

Position Summary
Guest Services Gate Ambassadors are an important part of the Talladega Experience. Members work at Admission Gates, Tunnels, or the Infield Crossover Gate depending on qualifications and interest. Each area is responsible for bringing our Guests an unforgettable racing experience.

Responsibilities at the Admission Gates:

  • Properly scanning each Guests ticket for valid access into the facility

  • Properly checking each Guests credential for valid access into the facility

  • Checking vehicles for valid access into the facility at corresponding vehicle entry points

  • Assisting Guests with accurate directions and any other assistance on property

  • All other duties assigned by Supervisors and TSS Management

Responsibilities at the Tunnels/Crossover Gate:

  • Checking each vehicle for valid access into the infield.

  • Checking each RV for any items that are prohibited from entrance into the infield campgrounds

  • Checking each Person’s Ticket or Credential for valid access into the infield

  • All other duties assigned by Supervisors and TSS Management

Qualifications:

  • Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and personable

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must learn quickly and be trainable

  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment

  • Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time (8-12 hours)

Usher Team - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

Position Summary
Ushers are an important part of the Talladega Superspeedway Experience.  We are currently searching for the best talents to become a member of the Usher Team. As a member you will be responsible for bringing our guest an unforgettable racing experience here at the biggest and baddest track in NASCAR!

Responsibilities of the Usher:

  • Checking your area before gates open to make sure all is in cleanly and in working order

  • Greet and welcome each guest and thank each guest as they leave the event

  • Have a strong understanding of the Talladega Superspeedway stadium layout to provide guests with directions to seating sections, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops and other facility services and amenities

  • Serves as an information specialist and knowledgeable about each event in order to respond appropriately to guest comments, questions, and requests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

  • Handle a variety of customer inquiries  in a professional manner including but not limited to seating/ticket issues

  • Assisting guests with the location of their seats

  • Enforcing Speedway policies and procedures

  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas

  • Look for opportunities to enhance the guest experience

  • All other duties assigned by Usher Team Leaders, and TSS Management

Qualifications:

  • Ability to review written and electronic materials (Tickets) in both digital and physical format

  • Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and personable

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to memorize layout of Talladega Superspeedway in order to answer guests general questions (seating sections, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops and other facility services and amenities)
