Facility Operations/Security: Facility/Venue Management
Operations Coordinator - Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, CA)

This position is responsible for coordinating the track/facility rental business functions, along with assisting in the implementation of the guest services program.  Responsible for successfully and positively representing Auto Club Speedway at all times and performing job in compliance with our philosophy, policies, goals, and budget.

Hours will vary but will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and long days on event days and nights.

Must comply with all departmental, facility and OSHA safety guidelines and regulations


    Facility Rental Responsibilities:

  • Planning, scheduling, and contracting rental activities for the facility
  • Verifying insurance coverage and rental payments from customers
  • Coordinating facility setup with operations and maintenance teams
  • Preparing all track rental checklists for distribution to all personnel
  • Addressing customer requests for special rental needs such as A/V, signage, tents, security, fuel, etc.
  • Troubleshooting any customer issues during rental events (including weekends)
  • Handling intellectual property licensing for filming/photography at the facility
  • Other duties as required

Guest Services Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling and contracting guest service event employees and service groups
  • Support training of event employees and service groups on Auto Club Speedway policies/procedures, guest experience expectations, and race information, including the development of training materials
  • Participate in the management and oversight of  technology based initiatives such as the event incident management system
  • Assist with all guest services related event setup and operations, such as information booths & tents, trams, ushers, disability transport, garage tours, and employee/service group check-in
  • Provide fan survey support, including post survey follow up communication
  • Assist operations and marketing departments with the development of special events
  • Other duties as required


rofessional:  Minimum of 1-2 years related experience, related college degree strongly preferred.  
Windows-based computer hardware and software experience, including graphic arts, required.

Personal:  Communicate effectively and professionally at all times, comfort and experience with public speaking, strong leadership skills, exercise excellent managerial judgment, ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, clean and neat at all times, team builder and team worker.

Ticket Operations Event Staff- Seasonal - Chicagoland Speedway (Joliet, IL)

Position Purpose

The Ticket Operations Event Staff will gain valuable experience and knowledge of the inner workings of the sports and motorsports industries, while supporting the event operations process at Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a staff member working on-site during our 30+ events throughout the season, providing exceptional customer service to all event patrons. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Selling tickets to all walk-up customers utilizing the Fantracker ticketing software
    • Printing & distributing tickets to customers who have selected Will Call
    • Handling camping registration and check-in throughout major event weekends
    • Answering questions and providing basic event information
  • Assist with other duties assigned by the Ticket Operations Manager or the Director of Ticketing


  • Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are required
  • Comfort to work in a fast paced and high energy environment.  Prior sales or box office experience preferred
  • The ability to respond quickly, calmly, and professionally to event-related problems and emergencies
  • Enthusiastic about learning about the sports industry
  • High school or equivalent education required, pursuing a college degree preferred

Facility Operations/Security: Heavy Equipment Operator
Tour Guide and Driver (Part Time) - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, Fl)

Conduct guided tours of Daytona International Speedway.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Conduct Daytona International Speedway Tours (Speedway Tour, All Access Tour and VIP Tour) in a professional and informative manner.
  2. Ensure safety of guests.
  3. Prepare trams at the start of the shift (i.e. check fuel, oil, water and all other fluids as necessary).
  4. Assist guests with special needs and ensure ADA compliance.
  5. Complete necessary paperwork (i.e. guest log sheet, incident and vehicle condition reports and closing sheets).
  6. Memorize and deliver various tour script narratives to guests in a clear and exciting presentation.
  7. Drive multi-unit trams, pickup trucks with single and double Featherlite trams and a 28 passenger bus to deliver daily tours and during event time.
  8. Drive Richard Petty Driving and Ride Experience guests to the infield and return to Tours area.
  9. Operate walkie-talkie radio in proper and professional manner for clear and concise communications with Tour team and Ticket Operations.
  10. Enhance guest's knowledge of Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR and motorsports in general.
  11.  Assist in training new Tour staff.
  12. Other duties as assigned and available to work during events at Daytona International Speedway with Event Tram Operations plus Speedway Show Car Operations.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
  • CPR/Defibrillation course (can be completed at the onset of employment).
  • Clean driving record (verifiable by company background check).

Physical Demands

  • The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 60 pounds (i.e. change a tram unit tire) and be able to work in all elements.

Added Candidate Attributes (a plus but not necessary)

  • Foreign language skills (French, Spanish, German, etc.).
