Operations Manager - Americrown Service Corporation (Daytona Beach, FL)

Summary:   This position is equivalent to a General Manager of a professional venue.  Responsible for the effective leadership of venue operations including event planning, promotion, menu planning, inventory control standards, compliance with alcohol service polices, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer recruitment training, and supervision.  F&B Manager oversees the operations of concessions and catering during event and non-event periods.  Partners with business unit leadership to manage operations and marketing strategies to increase revenues and guest satisfaction while providing financial analysis, streamlining operations, and effectively managing costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong, Leadership, Management  Planning and Coaching Skills

  • Staffing – Proper staffing levels, Set Goals and Expectations, Training

  • Exceptional fiscal management skills, including financial analysis, budget creation, forecasting, labor and inventory control, and P&L oversight

Qualifications/Education Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelor’s in hospitality or business field

  • This position requires at least 5 years of experience successfully managing F & B operations in a large sports and entertainment venue, theme park, or similar environment

  • Experience managing in a fast-paced environment with focus on providing innovative hospitality, high quality food and beverage services as well as experience in retail merchandise within a venue

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, planning, and organizational abilities. Job Description Overview

The dishwasher role is a very important part in day to day execution in the kitchen. Their main role is to keep and maintain the kitchen as well as the equipment.  Dishwashers may perform smaller food prep tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

Detailed Role and Responsibilities

  • Report to Lead supervisor who is assigned at the beginning of each day to go over game plan
  • Must complete the servsafe sanitation program and adhere to all guidelines set forth
  • Follow all HACCP Guidelines set forth by Americrown
  • Follow the direct supervisors lead in following Safety guidelines set forth by Americrown Safety Committee
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
  • Assist in the production in some foods, such as meats, vegetables, desserts, according to supervisor’s instructions, following approved procedures
  • Empty all the garbage cans to the dumpster at the loading dock
  • Clean all floor drains at the end of each shift
  • Clean the loading dock and debris around dumpsters
  • Clean and maintain all equipment
  • Bus the plates, glasses and silver ware of every event
  • Help in the plate ups when needed
  • Load dishwasher with dirty dishes as needed
  • Make sure that the dishwasher machine is set up and cleaning properly
  • Check Dish machine daily to make sure all temps are recorded and running at standard temperatures
  • Keep and maintain a clean workstation at all times

Job Summary:

Security Officer: Provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. We are currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew members that will deliver the best experience in sports.

Daytona International Speedway is seeking a Guest Services Representative for the Guest Services desk in the lobby of the Tours building.  This is a seasonal position that will mainly be scheduled on the weekends and major event days. Applicants for this position should be outgoing and exhibit a willingness to help others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide helpful, accurate information and directions to guests attending Daytona International Speedway tours and events

  • Work with Tour and Ticketing staff to facilitate positive guest experiences with Tours program

  • Greet, check-in and issue credentials to VIP Tour Guests

  • Assist with Guest check-in and waiver signatures for the Richard Petty Driving Experience

  • Assist and direct Guests attending hospitality events occurring in the Tours building

  • Answer multi-line phone; transfer calls as needed

Daytona International Speedway is seeking certified Fire Rescue professionals that will interact with our guests and professional racing team participants during racing events.

Essential Functions:

• Perform Fire and EMS response functions. Shifts range from 6-16 hours depending on event.
• Practice and maintain professional work ethic and appearance.

Required Certifications:

• Current State of Florida Fire I & II (Minimum Standards)
• Current State of Florida EMT Basic or Paramedic Certificate (National Registry will not be accepted)
• Current BLS CPR card (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• Current ACLS card (Paramedics) (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• EVOC or CEVO certificate                                               
• PALS or PEPP  cert preferred, but not required (Paramedics)

SUMMARY: Maintain the overall condition of the building and grounds. Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, facilities, and mechanical equipment. Position Purpose

Repairs and overhauls all equipment as needed at the track facility.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Examines track vehicles on an ongoing basis to determine operating status and performs repairs as directed by Operations Manager;

  • Maintains performance capability of all track vehicles and equipment;

  • Provide Operations Manager with recommendations on equipment repair needs;

  • Maintain equipment maintenance records via paper and or computer;

  • Operates equipment as needed, including, but not limited to, backhoe, bobcat, bulldozer, track sweeper;

  • Be available for additional track duties as assigned.

  • Operates shop tools as needed, including, but not limited to, welders, tire machines, vehicle lift;

 

Performance Measures

Ongoing dialogue and interaction with Operations Manager to assure that the goals and objectives of the facility are being met; a year-end review will determine where success is accomplished and/or where improvements are needed.

Qualifications

A strong background and hands-on experience as a vehicle mechanic with the ability to adapt to other facility personnel needs.

Work Requirements

Availability on preceding weeks and weekends leading up to event and during all event hours of operation, as well as the immediate weeks following event.

Special Position Requirements

Ability to withstand physical challenges of mechanic’s areas of responsibility.  Travel may be required as requested.

Position Summary
Ushers are an important part of the Talladega Superspeedway Experience.  As a member of the Usher Team you will be responsible for bringing our guest an unforgettable racing experience.

Responsibilities of the Usher:

  • Checking your area before gates open to make sure all is in cleanly and in working order

  • Greet and welcome each guest and thank each guest as they leave the event

  • Have a strong understanding of the Talladega Superspeedway stadium layout to provide guests with directions to seating sections, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops and other facility services and amenities

  • Serves as an information specialist and knowledgeable about each event in order to respond appropriately to guest comments, questions, and requests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

  • Handle a variety of customer inquiries  in a professional manner including but not limited to seating/ticket issues

  • Assisting guests with the location of their seats

  • Enforcing Speedway policies and procedures

  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas

Guest Services Gate Ambassadors are an important part of the Talladega Experience. Members work at Admission Gates, Tunnels, or the Infield Crossover Gate depending on qualifications and interest. Each area is responsible for bringing our Guests an unforgettable racing experience.

  • Properly scanning each Guests ticket for valid access into the facility.

Responsibilities at the Tunnels/Crossover Gate:

  • Checking each vehicle for valid access into the infield.

  • Checking each RV for any items that are prohibited from entrance into the infield campgrounds.

Event Time Parking Staff - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

POSITION SUMMARY
Talladega Superspeedway has openings for part-time Parking Staff for NASCAR and other publicly ticketed events throughout the year. This is a seasonal position working on-site at Talladega Superspeedway assisting with event parking. Event Parking Staff are often the first representatives to greet fans and must provide exceptional customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a staff member working in one of our preferred parking lots, providing exceptional customer service to all event patrons. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Selling parking passes to all walk-up customers

    • Process cash payments

  • Develop a working knowledge of Talladega Superspeedway pricing, policies, procedures and general event information. As the first line for guest questions, Event Ticketing Staff must be able to answer questions or direct guests in the proper direction.

  • Direct vehicle traffic flow to proper areas

  • Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility and parking assistance

  • Assist with other duties assigned by Ticket Operations Manager or the Director of Ticketing.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and ability to provide a high level of customer service is required

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high energy environment

  • Event staffing or ticket sales experience preferred, but not required

  • Flexible schedule during the event

  • Previous cash handling experience preferred

  • Reliable transportation to and from Talladega Superspeedway


    OTHER INFO
    This is a part time, hourly position working only during major event weekends. Some shifts may begin as early as 5:00am; exact hours to be determined.
