JOB SUMMARY

Americrown Service Corporation is seeking applicants to fill as needed for general maintenance at our various locations during events and possibly during off season as well. Travel will be required during the season to our various tracks around the country.

Required Qualifications:

We are currently seeking new groups to participate within the Tram Operations Department of Guest Services at Daytona International Speedway. We are currently looking for groups to fill a variety of positions such as Tram Ambassadors, Tram Stop Attendants, and anyone with a CDL with Passenger Endorsement for Tram/Bus Drivers. These are all great opportunities for your group to maximize profits and be a part of the action. DIS will provide your group a fun, fast-paced, and exciting environment to reach your fund raising goals!

Job Responsibilities:
      ·   SAFELY assist with the transportation of guests within the DIS venue.
      ·   Greet all guests with a smile and engage them accordingly.
      ·   Assist guests with the boarding and unloading process.
      ·   Possess some knowledge of facilities and overall property layout.
      ·   Answer questions about various DIS tram routes and event day happening.
      ·   Inspect overall safety, appearance, and cleanliness of all vehicles/Loading Areas and report any issues 
          to your group supervisor.
      ·   Handle special requests as assigned by your group supervisor.

What does my group need to get started?

Fantastic, committed, hardworking volunteers who are at least 18 years of age, 21 to drive a Tram/Bus.  Certification that the organization is a non- profit, tax exempt organization as defined in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Lastly, a designated group leader, in charge of the entire group.

What positions will my group be able to volunteer for? How much can my group earn?

Your group has an opportunity to volunteer as Tram Ambassadors, Tram Stop Attendants, and anyone with a CDL with Passenger Endorsement for Tram/Bus Drivers. Pay is determined by the number your group is able to provide.

Do you provide training?

YES! Unfortunately though at this time we will only be able to take groups that can make prior on-site trainings at Daytona International Speedway. If group members do not complete the training, they are unable to work.

Tour Guide and Driver (part-time) - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Summary

Conduct guided tours of Daytona International Speedway.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Conduct Daytona International Speedway Tours (Speedway Tour, All Access Tour and VIP Tour) in a professional and informative manner.
  2. Ensure safety of guests.
  3. Prepare trams at the start of the shift (i.e. check fuel, oil, water and all other fluids as necessary).
  4. Assist guests with special needs and ensure ADA compliance.
  5. Complete necessary paperwork (i.e. guest log sheet, incident and vehicle condition reports and closing sheets).

  8. Drive Richard Petty Driving and Ride Experience guests to the infield and return to Tours area.
  9. Operate walkie-talkie radio in proper and professional manner for clear and concise communications with Tour team and Ticket Operations.
  10. Enhance guest's knowledge of Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR and motorsports in general.
  11. Assist in training new Tour staff.
  12. Other duties as assigned and available to work during events at Daytona International Speedway with Event Tram Operations plus Speedway Show Car Operations.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.

Physical Demands

  • The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 60 pounds (i.e. change a tram unit tire) and be able to work in all elements.

Security and Parking Event Staff - Event/Temporary - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Security Officer: Provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. Screen all persons entering ticketed and/or secure areas for valid credentials/tickets. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Parking Staff: Serve as positive first point of contact with guests. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow to proper areas. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills

Primary Truck Driver - Motor Racing Network (Concord, NC)

Responsibilities:

  •  Drive truck and trailer to each event, per driver’s schedule.
  •  Pre-trip truck and trailer.
  • Setup trailer on location (includes but not limited to):
    • Unload trailer
    • Level trailer
    • Slide outs and covers
    • Deploy Satellite Dish
    • Build mast, run, lubricate and assemble
    • Run generator, check oil and fuel
    • Put steps and platforms out
    • Hook up to electric and phone lines
    • Have trailer washed weekly and wheels cleaned as needed.
    • Clean inside of trailer and keep floors cleaned and polished.
  • Tear down and pack truck. Responsible for safe transportation of all contents.
  • Maintain and run generator
  • Dump bathroom waste tank and fill fresh water tank
  • Keep truck, trailer, golf cart, scooter and van clean, inside and out.
  • Get service done on truck, trailer, mast, generator and van per fleet maintenance schedule.

  • Maintain golf carts and scooter.
    • Run once a week
    • Check batteries and tire pressure
    • Check oil and keep full of fuel (keep fuel on truck) weekly

  • Perform airport pickups as per travel grid. Transport crew to and from track daily.
  • Stock trailer with drinks, ice, office and paper supplies, batteries etc.
  • Ice down drinks at track and maintain coolers over weekend
  • Get groceries and run errands as necessary.
  • Cook once per day for MRN Crew. (includes clean up)
  • Assist with broadcast. Be “on headset” during broadcast and available
  • Deliver equipment to radio booth. After race retrieve all equipment from booth.
  • Deliver and pickup announcers before and after race as needed.
  • Winterize equipment at end of season. Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Transport equipment in off season as needed. Annual cleaning and organization of equipment.
  • Maintain water/soda/Gatorade inventory in trailer
  • Move equipment (trucks, trailers, coaches, van’s etc. as needed)
  • Maintain accurate daily log book
  • Comply with all DOT requirements. Maintain current medical card. Subject to drug testing.
  • Complete trip reports daily. Send with fuel receipts in race day file weekly.

Director, Video Production and Track Services - Motor Racing Network (MRN) (Concord, NC)

SUMMARY:  Manage MRN Department responsible for all aspects of video content production and integrated services for ISC tracks.  Refine the departmental operating plan to efficiently execute against MRN and ISC vision and strategic initiatives.  Manage departmental budget and strategic/business plan, working closely with internal and external sales partners to maximize revenue opportunities for the department.  Primary liaison with ISC tracks on “Event Experience” strategic initiatives, working closely with partners such as NASCAR Productions, JHE Production Group, and others to ensure the highest quality on-site experience for ISC guests.  Key oversight areas will include video content production for Sprint Vision screens, MRN digital programs, and ISC track needs, and further development of the “Director of Event Production” initiative for event experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Annual department budget development and management including forecasting.
    • Regular interaction with appropriate sales partners to execute properly against the budget.
    • Development of sellable content/inventory opportunities for department growth opportunities.
    • Reconciliation of expenses associated with Sprint Vision program.
  • Oversight of On-site Sprint Vision program execution.
    • Sprint Vision run of show management.
      • In-house content development/production.
      • Primary liaison with NASCAR Productions on joint content production and Sprint message execution.
      • Program format oversight for sponsor/advertiser placement.
    • Primary contact with ISC Technology group and tracks/vendors on all physical screen related issues.
  • ISC Track Run-of-Show integration and execution.
    • Refinement and further execution of “Director of Event Production” initiative.
      • Primary contact with tracks for full content integration and run of show execution/management.
      • Liaison with JHE and/or other vendors for on-site coordination and run of show execution.
    • Development of personnel for Director of Event Production positions.
  • MRN Video Production Resources
    • Manage video and graphic content needs for MRN Digital program distribution.
      • Work closely with MRN Audio and Digital department leadership to coordinate and execute for regular and specialty content needs.
      • Assist in development of graphic elements for use on-site with Sprint Vision product as well as in Digital content for MRN and other ISC properties.
    • Coordinate with ISC tracks and corporate as necessary for video production needs.
    • Coordinate with NASCAR Productions on shared resources for ISC and MRN needs.
    • Develop, provide and/or present quotes and proposals to clients.
  • Business and strategic planning as part of ISC Sr. Leadership team.
  • Special project coordination/research as needed.
  • Interaction with other ISC, NASCAR, and MRN departments
  • Interaction with other motorsports companies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   This position will supervise staff in the MRN department supporting all areas outlined above including employees and independent contractors.  As a Senior Leadership team member responsibilities can include the supervision of other departments in the absence of other Senior Staff members AND/OR the President.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  BA/BS degree, minimum of 5 years experience in the production, broadcast and/or racing industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong working knowledge of production, broadcasting, and emerging communications technologies is necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
