The role of the Courier is to service a set area of concession stands, selling change and picking up drops.

OPS Courier is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Shifts and hours will vary depending on specific event needs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:                                                                                       

  • Drive a golf cart and walk to concession stands, accompanied by security
  • Sell change to concession stands
  • Pick up and log drops from concessions

Summary: Successful applicant responsibilities will include but not be limited to the maintenance and setup of all event related equipment/assets for our food and beverage departments. Responsible for completing maintenance, based upon schedules in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety and performance standards, and all government regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to supervise, & provide leadership when directing temporary workers
  • Assist manager in maintaining mobile equipment inventories
  • Prepare and submit log books and fuel logs for service vehicles
  • Maintenance of equipment to ensure equipment is in safe and working order in accordance with Health, Fire, Safety and Regulatory guidelines
  • Notify manager of concerns with any equipment
  • Direction and scheduling provided by from Fleet Operations/Maintenance Manager
  • Responsible for set up of all event equipment
  • Work closely with manager and have daily discussions to report event progress
  • Assist with loading equipment on trailers
  • Travel is required and long event hours

Qualifications/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. ( Jr. college, college and/or technical school graduate a plus ) or 1+ years’ experience in maintenance position or combination of both
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance with no restrictions. CDL Class A very helpful
  • Experience in electric, plumbing, carpentry or appliance repair a plus
  • Forklift certification needed. We can train

Concessions Manager - Americrown Service Corporation (Kansas City, KS)

Summary:  Must have 3-5 years of experience in prior sports and entertainment venue setting.  Concessions Manager is responsible for the overall operation of a concession facility. This includes (but is not limited to) staffing, ordering, scheduling, training, setup, execution, and post-event reconciliation/analysis.  Will partner with Directors, Executive Chef, and venue leadership to design and execute high quality presentations and exceed fan expectations while maximizing revenue, minimizing expenses, and improving the concessions experience.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong supervisory, leadership, and communication skills

  • Supervise up to 2000 employees and volunteers

  • Direct reports may include up to 5 full-time employees

  • Set and manage budgets up to $5MM per event

  • Recruit and train hourly staff, supervisors, and non-profit volunteer groups

  • Analyze and optimize concessions operation for throughput

  • Understand how to open and close inventory based sales

  • Set goals and map the path to achieving those goals

  • Manage payroll to keep labor below budgeted amount for all events

  • Assess inventory needs and place orders with all suppliers

  • Manage waste and arrange to receive credits where applicable with suppliers

  • Maintain equipment in good working order

  • Ability to drive consistency & strategic and innovative initiatives

  • Partner with health department, fire marshal, and other regulatory commissions

Work Requirements

Availability on preceding weeks and weekends leading up to the event and during all event hours of operation, as well as the immediate weeks following event.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for coordinating the track/facility rental business functions, along with assisting in the implementation of the guest services program.  Responsible for successfully and positively representing Auto Club Speedway at all times and performing job in compliance with our philosophy, policies, goals, and budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facility Rental Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and contracting rental activities for the facility

  • Verifying insurance coverage and rental payments from customers

  • Coordinating facility setup with operations and maintenance teams

  • Preparing all track rental checklists for distribution to all personnel

  • Addressing customer requests for special rental needs such as A/V, signage, tents, security, fuel, etc.

  • Troubleshooting any customer issues during rental events (including weekends)

  • Assist with intellectual property licensing for filming/photography at the facility

    Guest Services Responsibilities:

Florida Certified FF/EMT or FF/PM- Event/Seasonal - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include car club racing, motorcycles, civic and social gatherings, and car shows. 

Daytona International Speedway is seeking certified Fire Rescue professionals that will interact with our guests and professional racing team participants during racing events.

Essential Functions:

• Perform Fire and EMS response functions. Shifts range from 6-16 hours depending on event.
• Practice and maintain professional work ethic and appearance.

Required Certifications:

• Current State of Florida Fire I & II (Minimum Standards)
• Current State of Florida EMT Basic or Paramedic Certificate (National Registry will not be accepted)
• Current BLS CPR card (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• Current ACLS card (Paramedics) (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• EVOC or CEVO certificate                                               
• PALS or PEPP  cert preferred, but not required (Paramedics)

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Grad/GED

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Must successfully pass a driving record check.

  • Must attend mandatory annual training and complete required online training initially and annually.                                                        

  • Must successfully pass BLS or ACLS protocol test as required by Emergency Services Medical Director

  • Preferred candidates will have a verifiable affiliation with a Florida Public Safety or EMS Agency.

SUMMARY: Security Manager will assist in the day-to-day to operations as well as event-time operations of the Security Department. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ADA Shuttle Stop Fan Crew Responsibilities:

  • Manage organization and flow of shuttle stop queue line

  • Guide cart drivers to loading position

  • Efficiently seat guests on carts without exceeding the number of seats available

  • Be able to communicate with drivers and supervisors via communications radio when necessary

We are currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew members that will deliver the best experience in sports.

Admission Fan Crew:

Admission Fan Crew is an important part of the Daytona experience. Members work at Admission Gates, Tunnels, or the Infield Campgrounds depending on qualifications and interest. Each area is responsible for bringing our guests an unforgettable racing experience.

Admission Fan Crew is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Main events run January, February, March, May, and July with smaller events throughout the year.

Shift length: 8-12 hours depending on specific event needs and event conditions.  Additional pay is offered to those who primarily work overnight shifts (5:30PM-6:00AM).

Responsibilities at the Admission Gates:

  • Properly scanning each guest’s ticket for valid access into the facility

  • Properly checking each guest’s credential for valid access into the facility

  • Assisting guests with accurate directions and any other assistance on property

  • All other duties assigned

Responsibilities at the Tunnels:

  • Checking each vehicle for valid access into the infield

  • Checking each RV for any items that are prohibited from entrance into the infield campgrounds.

  • Checking each guest’s ticket or credential for valid access into the infield

  • All other duties assigned

Responsibilities at the Infield Campgrounds:

  • Assisting each camper to their appropriate space

  • Checking each guest for valid access into each campground

Responsibilities:

Seasonal – Event Time Only Tram Drivers - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

With our upcoming Coke Zero 400, we are currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew that will deliver the best experience in sports!

These positions are for the 2017 Race season here at the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway. Please begin to apply now, those selected for interviews will be contacted in May 2017, and interviews will be conducted in June.

EVENT TRAM DRIVER is responsible for driving trucks and/or tractors that pull trams on an assigned route. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid Class A, B, or C CDL with Passenger endorsement with current physical. Drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle Report before being considered.

Tram Drivers are only used during specified events during the race season, and will be assigned shifts based on needs by the Guest Services Department. Shifts range from 8 – 15 hours but depend on race finish times, and will pay a rate of $10.20 an hour.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

EVENT TRAM AMBASSADOR rides on a tram to ensure guests remain seated while the tram is in motion. Assist guests as necessary and as directed by the tram plaza supervisors when loading and unloading trams at tram plazas. Ambassador alerts the driver immediately upon observing any unsafe movement of guests or incidents jeopardizing fan safety, equipment malfunction or failure. Ambassador must make PA announcements and play the designated PA message for each segment. Additionally you may be assigned to work as a plaza attendant or gate guard.

Ambassadors and Attendants are only used during specified events during the race season, and will be assigned shifts based on needs by the Guest Services Department. Shifts range from 8 – 15 hours but depend on race finish times, and will pay a rate of $8.35 an hour.

  • The Venue Technology Engineer is responsible for providing Audio/Visual, Infrastructure and Communications oversight of Daytona International Speedway stadium.  This position works within the DIS Operations team and closely with the ISC project management team on implementation & maintenance of technology.

Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Security Officer: Provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. Screen all persons entering ticketed and/or secure areas for valid credentials/tickets. POSITION SUMMARY
Talladega Superspeedway has openings for part-time Parking Staff for NASCAR and other publicly ticketed events throughout the year. This is a seasonal position working on-site at Talladega Superspeedway assisting with event parking. Event Parking Staff are often the first representatives to greet fans and must provide exceptional customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a staff member working in one of our preferred parking lots, providing exceptional customer service to all event patrons. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Selling parking passes to all walk-up customers

    • Process cash payments

  • Develop a working knowledge of Talladega Superspeedway pricing, policies, procedures and general event information. As the first line for guest questions, Event Ticketing Staff must be able to answer questions or direct guests in the proper direction.

  • Direct vehicle traffic flow to proper areas

  • Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility and parking assistance

  • Assist with other duties assigned by Ticket Operations Manager or the Director of Ticketing.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and ability to provide a high level of customer service is required

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high energy environment

  • Event staffing or ticket sales experience preferred, but not required

  • Flexible schedule during the event
