Marketing Services Project Manager

Provides creative and trending product ideas for customer’s business growth and economies of technology.  Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate execution of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments/organizations to resolve inquires and insure quality of product/service.   Defined as first point of customer contact for general inquiries like pricing, products, scheduling, etc.  Builds and maintain business relationship with business units by providing prompt and accurate service so as to promote customer success and the company’s goals.

Focus:  Print Services, Direct Mail and Fulfillment

Knowledge and Tasks

  • Identify and anticipate client’s project needs and proactively plan activities and schedules to meet those needs.

  • Responsible for price quotes, delivery, quality, accuracy, purchase order review, and cost reports.

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments and/or organizations according to production schedules.

  • Recommend modifications to products and services in order to affect cost savings.

  • Frequent communication with business units in order to provide information about products and services and to plan/forecast future requirements.

  • Collect, review, and distribute production specifications and schedules, and revise specifications when required due to design changes, backlogs or other interruptions.

  • Consult with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates.

  • Review electronic and printed proofs for accuracy and to ensure client requirements and expectations are met.

  • Perform buying (purchasing) duties for printing, premiums and services.  Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.

  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other contingencies.

  • Participate in information-gathering and information-sharing meetings to stay on top of latest organization developments.

  • Travel to attend meetings with key customers to develop and support on-going relationships

Technology                                                         

  • Desktop computers – PC and/or MAC

  • Windows Office Suite with above average Excel skills

  • Adobe Design Suite – Acrobat, creative effects and file formats for print

  • Resource planning – Variable information databases; EFI products or similar (PrintSmith, PACE, etc.)

  • Accounting – Estimating, costing and job instructions

Education: 

Four-year college degree and industry work experience
