Corporate Sales Manager - Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, CA)

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for sponsorship sales for Auto Club Speedway, as well as working diligently to ensure contract fulfillment and overall satisfaction regarding marketing / hospitality assets.  Assist senior management with overall strategy/goals for the departments as well as new growth opportunities.  Responsible for successfully and positively representing Auto Club Speedway at all times and performing job in compliance with our philosophy, policies, goals, and budget. 

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

Hours will vary but will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and long days on event days and nights.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office is a part of a racetrack and staff must be available to meet with visitors or take calls. 

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Must comply with all departmental, facility and OSHA safety guidelines and regulations

PHYSICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Sit and use a personal computer for long periods, ability to move up to 35 pounds.  Physically access all areas of the racetrack quickly and safely.  Bending and lifting, ability to load and unload premium items. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Corporate Sales Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of current and potential corporate partners

  • Develop  proposals for sponsorship opportunities in open categories
  • Assist in developing revenue growth opportunities 
  • Assist with developing and tracking department goals
  • Help manage the inventory database and insure that it is up-to-date
  • Brainstorm new consumer marketing initiatives for partners.
  • Attend weekly department meetings.

  • Attend all pre-event planning update meetings that include partnership related issues.

 

 

Account Management/Event Responsibilities:

  • Development of the Fan Zone Display area – sell interactive displays and marketing activation programs
  • Develop/enhance relationships with an assigned list of hospitality clientele and work diligently to ensure accounts are very satisfied with their partnership package
  • Selling of all VIP Hospitality programs (ie. Terrace Suites, Skyboxes and Chalet Village)
  • Brainstorm and identify new methods to increase individual hospitality sales programs

  • Work with corp. legal to coordinate the hospitality contract process

  • Understand up sell opportunities and communicate effectively to clients
  • Manage the sales tracking and invoicing system, including data entry and review
  • Effectively monitor client's satisfaction and insure fulfillment of all contractual benefits
  • Work with PR and Special Events Team to coordinate promotional activities during event days that include track partners

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

Professional:  Minimum of 3-5 years related experience, related college degree strongly preferred. Windows-based computer hardware and software experience preferred.

Personal:  Project a positive image to internal (employees) and external (fans, vendor, other sports professional, community members) customers, communicate effectively and professionally at all times, comfort and experience with public speaking, strong leadership skills, exercise excellent managerial judgment, visionary thinker , ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, clean and neat at all times, team builder and team worker.

JOB SUMMARY:

Auto Club Speedway is seeking a creative and qualified team member to join the Consumer Marketing department and lead the focus on the management and execution of the Auto Club Speedway’s multicultural and youth marketing initiatives, with the goal of delivering strategic marketing plans that align with the Speedway’s brand and relationship with the community.

The Multicultural & Youth Marketing Manager is a full-time position that includes responsibilities between the multicultural marketing strategy targeting Hispanic and Asian markets, youth marketing, and Hispanic media communication initiatives.  This person should have a passion for emerging demographic markets, be an active contributor and engaged member of the market, and have a desire to stay in the loop of all the latest marketing trends in reaching these specific segments in the most organic and authentic method as possible.  The position plays an important role in maintaining and growing the brand among these key markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Execution of marketing plans for Hispanic, Asian, and Youth markets.

  • Executes and coordinates local multicultural plans to increase awareness for NASCAR event and drive ticket sales.

Location: Administrative office is located at the Track in Joliet, however this position will split time in Joliet and Chicago

Position Purpose

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

The Director of Partnership Sales will be responsible for achieving targeted corporate partnership sales goals thru prospecting (networking and cold-calling), presenting, and closing new partnership agreements. Examples of partnership platforms include Event Entitlement, Official Partner, Promotional Rights and On-Site Experiential Marketing:

o Prospecting: Identify and research new business and marketing partners. Contact decision makers within each organization

o Presenting: Create compelling presentations and lead new business/renewal pitches to prospective partners during meetings, potentially in a Boardroom setting, and/or during telephone calls.

o Closing: Negotiate and finalize sponsorship agreements that maximize revenue for the Speedway and Raceway

Job Summary:

Duties include interacting with customers in a professional and sales oriented manner, performing clerical/order entry work requiring application of various work methods and procedures, and familiarity with departmental functions, policies, and practices.  Provide for customer service, product upsell problem-solving and order processing via telephone and walk-ups.  Directly reports to Manager of Ticketing Services.  This position does not supervise any employees. 

Essential Functions:

Performs any combination of the following duties according to specific departmental guidelines:

  1. Maintain/retain current business through outbound calls to create long-term customer – employee relationships

Manager, Ticket Operations - Homestead-Miami Speedway (Homestead, FL)

Job Summary:
The Manager of Ticket Operations will be responsible for the oversight, management and accountability of the ticket operations for Homestead-Miami Speedway and all functions pertaining to the operation of the box office.  Candidate must be detail-oriented, motivated and organized with the ability to efficiently manage ticket operations, including the fulfillment of ticket orders and requests, the management of the ticket sales system, the operation of the box office, the monitoring of and processing of reports, and the application of  payments.  In addition, this person will manage the box office staff on race day, as well during other events, such as concerts and special events.  This person will report support the Director of Ticket Sales with all sales and customer service efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of ticket operations department including the box office and day of race ticket operations.
  • Process all ticket orders: individual tickets, groups and premium seat tickets.
  • Oversee all ticket office functions: sales, staffing, cash handling, deposits, etc.
  • Become competent with the ticket system; build events on the system, build ticket accounts, prepare reports, and manage cash payments.
  • Maintain and manage all hard ticket inventory.
  • Develop and maintain files and reports on each event that consists of ticket sales, group sales, comp tickets and overall event audits.
  • Prepare routine ticketing reports (i.e., walk up ticket sales, drop count reports, turnstile reports, group sales reports, etc.).
  • Reconcile daily cash and credit card sales.
  • Manage and control budgeted revenues and expenses for areas of responsibility.
  • Issue and track all complimentary ticket requests, coupons, vouchers and special promotions opportunities.
  • Interact and provide customers with answers to questions and resolve ticketing issues.
  • Assist in resolving any ticket related concerns.
  • Train, orient, manage and lead box office race day staff and interns on how to service ticket accounts along with providing unsurpassed customer service to all fans.
  • Act as liaison with ticket vendors to keep them properly informed about events, ticket sales and ticket operations.
  • Develop relationships with ticket printing companies.
  • Order all ticket stock.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years ticket sales box office experience required
  • Knowledge of various ticketing systems a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment

Job Description

  • Responsible for the sale of all Homestead Miami Speedway corporate partnerships and assets.

  • Responsible for the sale of all International Speedway Corporation assets and inventory, in conjunction with the ISC overall strategic sales plan. Work alongside the Director and other corporate sales managers on the overall renewal process for all corporate clients nationally, regionally and local.

  • Work alongside the Director and other corporate sales managers on the delivery of all on-site sponsor and corporate customer requirements, exceeding expectations during race weekend and other affiliated events.

  • Assist in the planning and development of, in accordance with budget guidelines, a local and regional sales and marketing plan for event related activities at HMS. Such activities shall include, but not limited to, event sponsorships, promotional partnerships, displays, and group sales packages including chalets, suites, fan hospitality, tour buses, and other revenue generating opportunities

  • Responsible for the development, marketing and selling of premium corporate entertainment and sponsorship packages to national, regional and local companies. Build and cultivate an ongoing “pipeline” of corporate contacts and potential sponsors. Maintain an updated accurate corporate customer database.

  • Work with the other members of the corporate sales department t towards the objective of delivering exclusive attention to, and creating a first class experience for our sponsors and partners, provide excellent customer service to our corporate customers in a manner consistent with meeting/exceeding expectations. Have an understanding and complete knowledge of all corporate customer activities prior to and during race events. Serve as a customer representative, as needed, to affect timely completion of all track obligations and to coordinate the delivery and distribution of all benefits during events.

Qualifications

 

The successful candidate will be creative, a self-starter, highly motivated, organized and a team player with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task. Candidate is expected to bring a positive attitude to the workplace, to be cheerful, engaging, cooperative and productive, and to perform additional duties as required for the efficient operations of the Speedway. 

·         Four year degree in business management or communications from an accredited college/university.

·         Minimum of five year’s sales experience, specifically in sponsorship or corporate partnerships.

·         Preferably five to ten years’ experience in business development of an organization, preferably within 

           sports or entertainment.

·         Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database programs within a windows

           environment.

·         Strong internal/external customer relations and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Seasonal Sales Associate - Kansas Speedway (Kansas City, KS)

General Description:

Under the guidance of the Group Sales Manager, Seasonal Sales Associates are responsible for increasing attendance and incremental revenue through outside sales efforts for all Kansas Speedway motorsports events.  Seasonal Sales Associates will assist with managing and growing the organization’s group ticket base and cultivate relationships with group leaders. Seasonal Sales Associates will also be responsible for attending lead generation events throughout the community as needed (i.e., chamber events, ticket promotion events, trade shows, etc.) and/or special events held on Kansas Speedway property (i.e. – Bikers for Babies, Treads and Threads, American Royal BBQ, etc.). The Seasonal Sales Associate position is a seasonal/temporary, part-time role and involves event weekend and occasional extended weekday hours as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for sales of  Season Tickets, Single Day Tickets and Group Packages to all race events at Kansas Speedway by use of an extensive cold calling effort  

  • Call current and past customers and cold call to new prospects creating new sales

  • Assist with the creation and development of sales and promotional materials related to ticket sales and consumer efforts

  • Enter ticket sales into FanTracker software for Marketing and Group Sales clients

  • Provide a high level of service to all accounts

  • Successfully contact, meet and sell key local and regional corporate businesses, organizations and associations.

  • Provide support to Kansas Speedway’s ticket office

  • Maintain weekly reports of all season, individual and group event sales and present report to Group Sales Manager

General Description:           

The Corporate Account Manager reports to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Marketing to fulfill the duties and responsibilities listed below.  This position will work with all members of the Sales and Marketing team and involves weekend and occasional extended weekday hours as needed.  Frequent local travel is expected, and occasional out-of-town travel may be required.   The Sr. Manager of Corporate Marketing or speedway management may assign additional duties and/or responsibilities.  This position is a primarily sales focused role. 

Goals and Objectives:

The Corporate Account Manager is responsible for driving incremental corporate sponsorship, corporate hospitality and ticket revenue by qualifying leads & prospects, scheduling appointments, making detailed presentations, negotiating contracts and closing sales.

Success shall be measured by reaching or exceeding sales targets assigned by the Sr. Manager of Corporate Marketing.

Duties:

  • Generate new ticket sales revenue through prospecting, cold calling and in-person appointments

  • Responsible for the growth of existing relationships in order for client to maximize spend and generate repeat business

  • Maintain 75-100 call per day volume as well as an aggressive sales and meetings schedule.

  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales goals by developing new relationships and growing existing relationships.

  • Set appointments with key decision makers in the community to assess the opportunity to develop and grow opportunities at MIS

  • Process orders using the current ticketing system

  • Provide superior customer service

Qualifications:

  • 4 year College degree – Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science preferably in sports management, business and/or marketing and communications

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills 

  • Knowledge of (and / or) experience working in sports at the professional or collegiate level

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, publishing and database programs within a Windows environment

  • Valid drivers license

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ticket Sales:  Leading the sales of ticket inventory to individuals, businesses and organizations through prospecting and calling new and existing clients.  The ideal person will have demonstrated experience in driving performance, managing/training a diverse team and ensuring that all team members meet weekly and monthly sales activities and goals.  He/She must develop and implement solutions that maximize the profit generated through ticket prices, products, use of the secondary ticket market and packages sold to customers and clients.  Hitting personal sales goals, leading by example while driving the daily sales activity and revenue goals of the team through both calls and in-person meetings is a key component of this position.  The Sr. Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for the hiring, training, managing and mentoring the Ticket Sales Staff.

Job Summary:

Works in conjunction with the communications department to translate Richmond International Raceway’s (RIR) voice, advocacy, social impact and customer value into relevant and meaningful internal and external digital content. The Manager of Digital Communications is responsible for the developing, planning, scheduling and management of multimedia projects that complement the communications strategy (content, public relations, media relations) to provide an exceptional user experience for our audience.

The Manager of Digital Communications should have a passion for engaging storytelling that brings the RIR story to life. Whether to educate, entertain or inspire, this means creating a consistent user (media and consumers) experience across all digital channels. The Manager of Digital Communications reports directly to the Director of Communications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Website Management:

  • Design and develop relevant, compelling, innovative multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, video, sound and content.

  • Day to day maintenance of existing pages to ensure consistent content and alignment with the evolving content strategy and editorial (messaging) calendar.

  • Design and build landing pages, web banners and web graphics, with a focus on customer centric/user-friendly designs and navigation.

  • Manage our consumer-facing blog including design, content strategy and creation, and distribution.

  • Oversee content and updates to mobile website, working with the International Speedway Corporation’s (ISC) interactive team to develop new designs, content and on-site experiential sales opportunities.

  • Monitor trends influencing consumer behavior and expectations, while identifying ways to drive engagement and sales opportunities.

  • Explore traffic driving opportunities and implement best practices for mobile-friendliness and SEO.

  • Develop and manage product placement strategy to drive ecommerce.

  • Work with Corporate Sales on exploring new digital inventory possibilities within our tech portfolio.

  • Manage RIR content posted on the ISC Portal and NASCARmedia.com, including press releases, video, audio, photos and employee profiles.

  • Manage press monitoring software, Cision. Maintain contact database(s), monitored clips and sought out targeted campaigns to new media in collaboration with the Communications Coordinator.

Mobile App Management:

  • Oversee content and updates to the mobile app, working with ISC’s interactive team to develop new designs, content and on-site experiential sales opportunities.

  • Responsible for page builds within the app, working with ISC Interactive/AVAI on integrating new tech into the app, oversee push notification messaging during race weekend and otherwise, collaborate with consumer marketing on campaigns to drive downloads.

Video Production:

  • Develop an integrated video strategy to complement the year-long communications content strategy and marketing plan.

  • Pre-production, production and post-production of engaging videos, which includes shooting and editing footage, creating and/or editing sound effects, voiceover and music bed, photos, text and animated graphics. Support post-production on pieces not contracted out to agencies/third parties.

  • Create content to drive engagement and share through social and digital platforms.

  • Create and maintain digital video media library. ?

  • Manage, organize, and maintain all digital equipment, including video camera, still cameras, go-pros and accessories. ?

  • Manage content strategy and race weekend scheduling of partner videographers.

General Communications:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technology, including video, website and graphic production and design. Assist with graphic design projects as necessary for social, web and blog use. Creative services hold this primary function.

  • Support the ideation, formation, editing, and distribution of press releases.

  • Manage Communications Coordinator to develop and maintain an accurate and comprehensive media database to ensure accurate and effective distribution of press releases.

  • Support media and public relations appearances by RIR staff and third parties of all mediums (TV, radio, events, online, etc) onsite and offsite.
  • Schedule and support media engagement in Richmond, Norfolk, Charlottesville, Charlotte and other targeted markets.
  • Serve as main point-of-contact for race day pre-race production. This includes the coordination of all pre-race elements, including Grand Marshals, Honorary Starters, National Anthem, fly-overs, minute-by-minute pre-race schedule, driver ride around, and other associated elements.

  • Manage race weekend text communications, which includes schedule development and implementation and emergency communication.
  • Manage and maintain monthly newsletter including content, schedule, distribution list, and online distribution.
  • Maintain RIR Media Guide for each race including necessary updates to design, content, and publication (print and online).

  • Manage annual RIR Fan Guide including design, content, and publication (print and online).

  • Support pre-race Victory Tour and Xfinity Advance Program tour events from ideation to implementation to distribution with focus on selling tickets to the upcoming race. 

  • Manage Communications Coordinator on credentialing all pre-race parties and overseeing race-day scheduling/care. Work with consumer marketing on run of show and Pre-Race added effects (staging, pyro, etc.).

  • Manage Communications Coordinator as main point of contact for media monitoring which includes providing search parameters, as well as collecting data and generating reports for post-race recaps.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Ticket Sales Account Executive will be responsible for generating new revenue through the sale of tickets, event upgrades and specialty ticket packages to local and regional companies, in addition to managing existing accounts as assigned.
