Sales & Marketing: Ticket Sales Management
Manager of Ticketing - Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, CA)

Job Summary:

The Manager of Ticketing will be responsible for the oversight, management and accountability of ticket operations and functions pertaining to the operation of the Ticket Office. Candidate must be detail-oriented, motivated and organized with the ability to efficiently manage ticket operations, including the fulfillment of ticket orders and requests, the management of the ticket sales system, the operation of the Ticket Office and event box offices, the monitoring of and processing of reports, and the application of payments. In addition, this person will manage year-round ticketing staff and box office staff on event days. This person will report to the Director of Ticketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of ticket operations department including the box office and day of event ticket operations
  • Process ticket orders including individual tickets, groups and Corporate Sales
  • Oversee all ticket office functions: sales, staffing, cash handling, deposits, etc. 
  • Become competent with the ticket system; build events on the system, build ticket accounts, prepare reports, and manage cash payments
  • Maintain and manage all hard ticket inventory
  • Prepare and maintain files and reports on each event that consists of ticket sales, comp tickets and overall event audits
  • Reconcile daily cash and credit card sales 
  • Control budgeted expenses for areas of responsibility
  • Interact and provide customers with answers to questions and resolve ticketing issues
  • Assist in resolving any ticket related concerns
  • Train, orient, manage and lead box office event day staff on how to service ticket accounts along with providing unsurpassed customer service to all fans
  • Other duties as required
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Some travel required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years ticket sales box office experience required
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of various ticketing systems a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong computer proficiency including experience with Excel and other database management systems

Sales & Marketing: Consumer Marketing/Brand Management
Manager, Multicultural Marketing & Sales - Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, CA)

The Manager, Multicultural Marketing & Sales position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the speedway’s multicultural marketing strategy.   In addition, they will lead the efforts on all ticket sales and promotional activations geared at this segment.  This position is part of a cross-functional team, working closely with consumer marketing and ticketing departments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Inbound/outbound call campaigns geared at renewals, on-sale, and group sales.

  • Work closely with ticketing department on ticket sales campaigns and strategies.

  • Develop new ticket sales opportunities by identifying specific segments/groups.

  • Lead and identify ticket sales opportunities within the college segment.

  • Implement multicultural strategy geared at the Hispanic and Asian consumer markets.

  • Work closely with consumer marketing team to implement and maintain promotional activations

  • Manage all Spanish language social media efforts across all platforms

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and provide any necessary improvements to ensure continued growth and success.

  • Maintain and update Spanish language website and email campaigns

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 1-2 years of ticket sales/marketing experience; preferably in sports/entertainment.

  • Experience in maintaining and meeting sales oriented goals including meeting strict deadlines.

  • Experience in maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.

  • Ability to handle multiple inbound/outbound calls on a daily basis.

  • Proven ability to coordinate promotional activities and teams.

  • Strong teamwork and project management skills.

  • Must be organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of digital platforms (social media, basic web development)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Four-year Bachelors degree

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in Spanish

  • Minimal travel required

Physical Responsibilities:

Sit and use a computer for long periods, ability to move up to 25lbs.  Physically access all areas of the race track quickly and safely.  Bending and lifting, ability to load and unload premium items at promotional events.

Facility Operations/Security: Maintenance
Mechanic/Facilities Maintenance - Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, CA)

Position Purpose

Maintains, repairs and overhauls all equipment as needed at the track facility.  Assists with facility/event setup and teardown.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Examines track vehicles & equipment on an on going basis to determine operating status and performs repairs as directed by Director of Facilities;

  • Maintains performance capabilities of all track vehicles and equipment;

  • Provide the Director of Facilities with recommendations on equipment repair needs;

  • Maintain equipment maintenance records via paper and or computer;

  • Operates equipment as needed, including but not limited to, track sweeper, tractor blower, forklifts, and trams;

  • Be available for additional track duties as assigned;

  • Operates shop tools as needed, including, but not limited to vehicle lift

Performance Measures

Ongoing dialogue and interaction with Director of Facilities to assure that the goals and objectives of the facility are being met.

Qualifications

A strong background and hands-on experience as a vehicle mechanic with the ability to adapt to other facility personnel needs. Basic computer skills.

 

Work Requirements

Availability on preceding weeks and weekends leading up to the event and during all event hours of operation, as well as the immediate weeks following event.

Special Position Requirements

Ability to withstand physical challenges of mechanic’s area of responsibility. Travel may be required as requested.
