Daytona International Speedway is the home of “The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500. Through the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners the largest audience in motorsports. The enormous 480 acre motorsports complex is in the middle of a massive $400 million renovation called DAYTONA Rising. Once DAYTONA Rising is complete in January 2016, it will be host to the only Stadium Experience in racing. Daytona International Speedway is currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew that will deliver the best experience in motorsports!

Admission Crew Lead:
Admission Crew Leads are an important part of the DAYTONA Rising Experience. This position is vital in delivering the ultimate Guest Services experience.

Admission Crew Lead is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Main events run January-March and July with smaller events throughout the year.

Shift length: 8-12 hours depending on specific event needs and event conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise the Admission Fan Crew in your area
    • Areas consist of Ticket Gates, Tunnels, and Campground Entrances
  • Assist all Admission Fan Crew with problems that may arise during an event
  • Assist Guests with general information
  • Assist in training of all Admission Fan Crew

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment
  • Ability to be on feet in variable weather for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned

Event Tram Ambassador: Seasonal- Event Time Only - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, Fl)







These positions are for the 2016 Race season here at the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway. Please begin to apply now, those selected for interviews will be contacted in November 2015, and interviews will be conducted in late November into December.

EVENT TRAM AMBASSADOR rides on a tram to ensure guests remain seated while the tram is in motion. Assist guests as necessary and as directed by the tram plaza supervisors when loading and unloading trams at tram plazas. Ambassador alerts the driver immediately upon observing any unsafe movement of guests or incidents jeopardizing fan safety, equipment malfunction or failure. Ambassador must make PA announcements and play the designated PA message for each segment. Additionally you may be assigned to work as a plaza attendant.

Ambassadors and Attendants are only used during specified events during the race season, and will be assigned shifts based on needs by the Guest Services Department. Shifts range from 8 – 15 hours but depend on race finish times, and will pay a rate of $8.15 an hour.

Summary

Daytona International Speedway is seeking a Manager of Credentials at the “World Center of Racing,” which hosts events including Speedweeks highlighted by the DAYTONA 500 and the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the Coke Zero 400 Weekend Powered By Coca-Cola in July and motorcycle events including the Daytona Supercross By Honda and Daytona 200.

Essential Duties/Functions

  • Process and arrange credentials for media, sponsors, employees and guests for Daytona International Speedway events.
  • Coordinate printing of all credential materials for events including credentials, stickers and parking passes.
  • Generate, approve and post credential application forms for both media and employees for all events.
  • Coordinate with various sanctioning bodies (including, but not limited to: ARCA, ASRA, CCS, IMSA, NASCAR and Red Bull Global Rallycross) on credential and parking pass needs prior to events
  • Maintain lists of credentialed media for all events and distribute to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Oversee, manage and direct the staff in the credential office, keeping a keen focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee the logging and tracking of credentials in the TAMS computer credential system
  • Thoroughly research and approve media credential requests
  • Following events, request and secure proof of coverage from credentialed media outlets
  • Work closely with Guest Services and Security teams to develop and execute access policy for the new motorsports stadium.
  • Serving as primary clearing house for Daytona International Speedway licensing needs, working closely with the Public Relations and Marketing teams on licensing agreements and liaising with official photography and video footage licensors as requests are received.

SUMMARY:  Senior Director of Accounting is primarily responsible for preparation, review and communication of the business unit’s financial statements and controls, as well as, participating in the development and execution of the business unit’s strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1)      Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, documentation and reconciliations required for monthly/quarterly/yearly close.

2)      Ensure compliance with external reporting standards (GAAP) and internal policies and procedures, including documentation and testing of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 controls.

3)      Clearly communicate and report results of operations to business unit department leaders and corporate finance, which include variance analysis and cause of change schedules.

4)      Prepare, review and communicate financial forecasts for current and future years.

5)      Prepare and review annual budgets.

6)      Providing financial leadership to business unit president and department leaders, including but not limited to, identifying and implementing innovative business solutions aligned to the vision, mission and objectives outlined in the Company’s strategic plan.  Further, preparing and presenting financial analysis and pro-forma reflecting the risks and opportunities of strategic projects resourced in the Company’s operating and capital plans.

7)      Preparation and timely filing of applicable tax responsibilities, including sales, tangible and intangible personal and real property.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage two employees in the Administration (Accounting) function.  Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Degree in Accounting from an accredited university with at least five years related experience, at least three of which involve supervisory responsibilities.  Must have a clear understanding and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Experience with publicly traded companies and or public accounting experience is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and/or Certified Management Accountant, preferred

Facility Operations/Security: Game Day/Event Staff
Tram Drivers: Seasonal – Event Time Only - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, Fl)







These positions are for the 2016 Race season here at the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway. Please begin to apply now, those selected for interviews will be contacted in November 2015, and interviews will be conducted in late November into December.

EVENT TRAM DRIVER is responsible for driving trucks and/or tractors that pull trams on an assigned route. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid Class A, B, or C CDL with Passenger endorsement with current physical. Drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle Report before being considered.

Tram Drivers are only used during specified events during the race season, and will be assigned shifts based on needs by the Guest Services Department. Shifts range from 8 – 15 hours but depend on race finish times, and will pay a rate of $10.00 an hour.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

  • Must possess a Class A, B, or C CDL with Passenger Endorsement
  • Must be able to work Daytona 500 day, as well as other assigned events
  • Strong communications and customer service skills
  • Fast learner
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Positive attitude, friendly and outgoing
