Sales & Marketing: Client Relations/Customer Service
Coordinator, Client Services - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

JOB SUMMARY

The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for a variety of functions in support of the Daytona International Speedway Sales Department. This person must be extremely detailed with a strong willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support all aspects of the sales process for the Sales Team

  • Provide support during events in suites and premium hospitality locations

  • Assist in fulfillment of partnership assets and corporate hospitality assets includes tickets, parking, passes etc.

  • Co-Manage suite and hospitality clients during events with DIS Sales reps across all DIS events,

  • Proactively lead communication with suite and hospitality clients regarding set-up, logistics and deliverables and upsell opportunities

  • Creation and processing of contracts and orders in the corporate sales systems (FanTracker & EBMS)

  • Assist with Special Projects as needed

  • Manage details of client activation including inventory layouts

  • Manage reporting from database system

  • Work closely with multiple departments within organization including Ticketing, Accounting, Legal, Operations, Security, and Guest Services

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 year college degree preferably in Sports Management and/or Business

  • Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn sales systems and databases

  • Highly self motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment

  • Detail oriented, with exceptional communication skills (telephone and in-person)

  • Ability to work long and flexible hours, including all major event weekends and some evenings

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the department and facility

  • Strong computer skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office

Sales & Marketing: Ticket Sales
Customer Care Specialist - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Job Summary:

Duties include interacting with customers in a professional and sales oriented manner, performing clerical/order entry work requiring application of various work methods and procedures, and familiarity with departmental functions, policies, and practices.  Provide for customer service, product upsell problem-solving and order processing via telephone and walk-ups.  Directly reports to Manager of Ticketing Services.  This position does not supervise any employees. 

Essential Functions:

Performs any combination of the following duties according to specific departmental guidelines:

  1. Maintain/retain current business through outbound calls to create long-term customer – employee relationships
  2. Continually learn new events, promotions, sales techniques, and operational materials necessary to communicate to customer
  3. Create, sell and process a DAYTONA EXPERIENCE via FanTracker ticket software
  4. Extensive use of computer applications such as FanTracker reservation system and Microsoft programs

Additional Responsibilities:

May be asked to perform any of the duties below:

  1. Assist with offsite ticket sales / promotions
  2. Race weekend duties include but not limited to:  advance sales, will call and resolving customer issues, assist in training and oversight of event or seasonal staff

Director, Client Services - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

SUMMARY

  • The Director of Client Services is responsible for managing Daytona’s Official/Entitlement Partners, fulfillment of suite/hospitality assets, DIS special events and will act as a direct liaison to the ISC Partnership Marketing team. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • DIS Event Entitlement fulfillment management and event execution

  • Event Entitlement pre-event planning, coordinating on-site logistics

  • Encourage partner activation and execution, including pre-event weekly calls, event day contact, management of VIP group for special activities

  • Coordinate with ISC Partnership Management team in oversight of Founding Partner assets, event logistics, communication, and Founding Partner Council planning

  • Management of track assets (i.e. signage, midway, special events)

  • Grow revenue from existing clients and strengthen customer relationships

  • Work closely with Daytona International Speedway sales team and ISC sales staff

  • Collaborate with DIS Marketing/Ticketing department on partnership activation and benefits

  • EBMS Partner Order Management, Contract Drafting/Processing, Accounting Support

  • Develop partner summaries for internal use and inventory management

  • Work with DIS Marketing on partner inclusion in marketing/promotional collateral

  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director Sales

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Sales/Marketing/Sports Management

  • Minimum of 7 years of sponsorship sales/sales management experience

  • A passion for sales and customer development

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of sales cycle and have industry contacts

  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of the applicable organizations

HVAC Technician - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

SUMMARY: Performs skilled tasks in the diagnosis, mechanical repair, maintenance and calibration of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and control systems including electrical and plumbing and

related mechanical equipment such as controls, pumps, motors, compressors, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks such as checking equipment operation, cleaning, lubrication, changing filters, adjusting and repairing HVAC equipment and controls, etc., consistent with the Manufacturer’s Equipment Operation and Repair Manuals and standards of good practice.

  • Responds to temperature complaints, diagnoses problems, identifies solution, and makes necessary adjustments to assure adequate indoor air quality is maintained.

  • Calibrate/adjust/repair/replace temperature, humidity and air equipment and control devices such as chillers, pumps, cooling towers, evaporative coolers, condensing units, fan coil units, air handlers, exhaust fans, thermostats, sensors, humidistats, relays, timers, electric (digital) controls, electronic controls, damper motors/dampers, switches, and other related control devices on commercial and multi-zone heating and cooling systems

  • Uses diagnostic equipment and line diagrams to trouble shoot problems and identify solutions.

  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals

  • Basic welding, brazing, and soldering as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Security and Parking Event Staff - Event/Temporary - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Security Officer: Provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. Screen all persons entering ticketed and/or secure areas for valid credentials/tickets. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Parking Staff: Serve as positive first point of contact with guests. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow to proper areas. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions

Tour Guide and Driver (Part-time) - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Conduct Daytona International Speedway Tours (Speedway Tour, All Access Tour and VIP Tour) in a professional and informative manner.

  2. Ensure safety of guests.

  3. Prepare trams at the start of the shift (i.e. check fuel, oil, water and all other fluids as necessary).

  4. Assist guests with special needs and ensure ADA compliance.

  5. Complete necessary paperwork (i.e. guest log sheet, incident and vehicle condition reports and closing sheets).

  6. Memorize and deliver various tour script narratives to guests in a clear and exciting presentation.

  7. Drive multi-unit trams, pickup trucks with single and double Featherlite trams and a 28 passenger bus to deliver daily tours and during event time.

  8. Drive Richard Petty Driving and Ride Experience guests to the infield and return to Tours area.

  9. Operate walkie-talkie radio in proper and professional manner for clear and concise communications with Tour team and Ticket Operations.

  10. Enhance guest's knowledge of Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR and motorsports in general.

  11.  Assist in training new Tour staff.

  12. Other duties as assigned and available to work during events at Daytona International Speedway with Event Tram Operations plus Speedway Show Car Operations.

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
  • CPR/Defibrillation course (can be completed at the onset of employment).
  • Clean driving record (verifiable by company background check).

Physical Demands

  • The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 60 pounds (i.e. change a tram unit tire) and be able to work in all elements.
