JOB SUMMARY

The Account Executive is responsible for managing existing Daytona International Speedway accounts as well as actively prospecting new accounts and expanding current business, which includes introducing new partnership opportunities related to the DAYTONA Rising redevelopment project. This sales executive must demonstrate sales experience and contribute to the continuous success of the sales team. The person in this role will cold call, prospect, pitch, negotiatie, close revenue opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Acquire new clients, grow revenue from existing clients and strengthen customer relationships
  • Prospect, establish, research, and close corporate partnerships, suites/hospitality and ticket sales through cold-calling, appointments, and networking
  • Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly corporate revenue and prospecting goals
  • Maintain high level of customer service to existing and new corporate clients
  • Attend networking events, dinners and community events
  • Work closely with Daytona International Speedway sales team and other International Speedway Corporation sales staff
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Sales

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Sales/Marketing/Sports Management
  • A passion for sales and customer development
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional communication and presentation skills (telephone and in-person) Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of the applicable organizations
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Results oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Admission Crew Lead:
The role of a Crew Lead provides support to Management by monitoring the actions of Admission Fan Crew Members at Daytona International Speedway. Crew Leads will additionally be supportive of and responsible for all staff within their designated areas throughout the property.

Job Summary:

The Director of Public Relations is responsible for managing the reputation of Daytona International Speedway through sound, strategic and forward-thinking public relations while working in close collaboration with marketing and ticketing.
 

Essential Functions:

• Develop and execute PR plan for $400 million DAYTONA Rising construction project
o Establish and maintain messaging throughout the various phases of the project
o Maintain an on-going update of PR successes and progress for Sr. Management and BOD.
o Manage Coyne Public Relations and ensure they stay on budget while delivering on expectations
o Ensure all construction stakeholders (Barton Malow, Rossetti, Core Message, Coyne, ISC, DIS, Americrown, Design and Development, MRN) stay aligned on communications initiatives and messaging.
o Collaborate with NASCAR IMC, IMSA and other sanctioning bodies to provide regular updates / messaging and to maximize opportunities to insert DAYTONA Rising into their narrative to elevate the DIS brand throughout the motorsports industry.
• Develop annual strategic PR plans to define messaging and maximize awareness for its major events throughout the year.
• Support and strengthen the DIS brand across all public facing channels in close partnership with consumer marketing through consistent messaging and strategic positioning.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with local, regional and national journalists.
• Maximize creativity to elevate the DIS brand within the NASCAR and motorsports media landscape, and beyond the sports page into the national main stream.
• Ensure flawless execution of media outreach, i.e. drafting of press releases, speeches, presentations, pitches, copy, editorials, program copy, newsletter copy, other collateral, etc.
• Oversee PR Team which includes Sr. Manager of Media Relations and DIS credential department.
• Oversee crisis communication – in close partnership with DIS and ISC leadership and legal (and NASCAR when necessary – develop strategy, messaging and rollout / response in times of crisis. Develop and maintain crisis communication/management plan to anticipate potential media issues and provide proper messaging to relevant spokespeople. Leverage media relationships to ensure proper understanding of DIS/ISC message and response. Ultimate goal is to minimize damage to DIS/ISC brand.
• Oversee Media Center and Press Box. Ensure flawless execution of service to all media members on site, including rapid distribution of information, courteous / friendly service, clean environment, working amenities, ample workstations, crystal clear audio / video service and other technical aspects, comfortable settings, ability to handle special requests as they arise.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Public Relations/Communications
• 5-7 years of experience in a PR/communications position
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

EVENT TRAM OPERATIONS POSITIONS

EVENT TRAM PLAZA ATTENDANT assists the tram plaza supervisor in the safe and efficient operation of the tram plaza to provide every guest with a great experience. Be proactive in greeting and assisting guests in the queues, insure they are in the correct queue depending on destination and assist in loading and unloading. Professionally and courteously assist guests with questions or be able to direct guests requiring detailed information to the nearest information center. Additionally you may be assigned to work as a tram ambassador. Shifts range from 4 – 14 hours.

EVENT TRAM AMBASSADOR rides on a tram to ensure guests remain seated while the tram is in motion. Assist guests as necessary and as directed by the tram plaza supervisor when loading and unloading trams at tram plazas. Ambassador alerts the driver immediately upon observing any unsafe movement of guests or incidents jeopardizing fan safety, equipment malfunction or failure. Ambassador must make PA announcements and play the designated PA message for each segment. Additionally you may be assigned to work as a plaza attendant. Shifts range from 4 – 14 hours.

EVENT TRAM DRIVER is responsible for driving trucks and tractors that pull trams on an assigned route. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid CDL with Passenger endorsement with current physical. 4 – 14 hours. Drivers must pass a MVR.

Daytona International Speedway is seeking certified Fire Rescue professionals that will interact with our guests and professional racing team participants during racing events.

Essential Functions:
• Perform Fire and EMS response functions. Shifts range from 6-16 hours depending on event.
• Practice and maintain professional work ethic and appearance.

Required Certifications:
• Current State of Florida Fire I & II (Minimum Standards)
• Current State of Florida EMT Basic or Paramedic Certificate (National Registry will not be accepted)
• Current BLS CPR card (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• Current ACLS card (Paramedics) (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• EVOC or CEVO certificate
• PALS or PEPP cert preferred, but not required (Paramedics)

Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Grad/GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must successfully pass a driving record check.
• Must provide proof of active affiliation with a Florida Public Safety Agency.
• Must attend mandatory annual training.
• Must successfully pass BLS or ALS protocol test as required by Emergency Services Medical Director

Job Summary:

Daytona International Speedway is the home of “The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500. Through the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners the largest audience in motorsports. The enormous 480 acre motorsports complex is in the middle of a massive $400 million renovation called DAYTONA Rising. Once DAYTONA Rising is complete in January 2016, it will be host to the only Stadium Experience in racing. Daytona International Speedway is currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew that will deliver the best experience in motorsports!

Support Team:
The role of Support Team assists the entire Admissions department with critical tasks on event days at Daytona International Speedway.

Team members will perform various tasks that include, but are not limited to:

  • Transporting staff
  • Delivering equipment
  • Setting up all Admissions gates
  • Placing signage in various locations
  • Inventorying supplies

The position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of activities at Daytona International Speedway and its ability to deliver consistently high quality service to all Guests.

Shift length: 8-12 hours depending on specific event needs
 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Fast learner
  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment
  • Ability to be on feet in variable weather for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift equipment up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Application check
  • Must be able to work all major events at Daytona International Speedway
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Friendly, outgoing, and personable

Support Team is a seasonal/temporary event based position. However, this position will require non-event day shifts. Shifts and hours will vary depending on specific event needs.

Job Summary:

Duties include interacting with customers in a professional and sales oriented manner.  Provide customer service, product upsell and order processing to drive/walk-ups.  This position does not supervise any employees. This position is during event time only.

Transportation Crew Lead:
The role of a Transportation Crew Lead provides support to Management by monitoring the actions of Transportation Fan Crew Members at Daytona International Speedway. Crew Leads will assist with transporting guests via golf carts around the facility from the designate Assistance pick up points.

Crew Leads will additionally be supportive of and responsible for all staff within their designated areas throughout the property.

The position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of activities at Daytona International Speedway and its ability to deliver consistently high quality service to all Guests.

Transportation Fan Supervisor:
The role of a Transportation Supervisor provides support to Management by supervising the actions of Transportation Fan Crew Members and Transportation Crew Leads at Daytona International Speedway. Supervisors will assist with transporting disabled guests via golf carts around the facility from the designate Assistance pick up points.

Supervisors will be supportive of and responsible for all staff within their designated areas throughout the property. Areas include Supervisors will assist in the hiring and training of Info Fan Crew and Info Crew Leads.

The position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of activities at Daytona International Speedway and its ability to deliver consistently high quality service to the Guests.

Shift Length: 12 hours

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Management or supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fast learner
  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment
  • Must be able to pass an MRV test
  • Ability to be on feet in variable weather for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned

Transportation/Info Booth Crew Chief:
Fan Assistance Crew Chief is an important part of the DAYTONA Rising Stadium Experience. As the Transportation/Info Booth Crew Chief you will oversee the Transportation Supervisors, Info Booth Supervisors, Transportation and Info Booth Crew Leads and Transportation and Info Booth Fan Crew. This role is vital in delivering the ultimate Guest Services experience.

Shift Length: 12 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in hiring of Supervisors, Crew Leads and Assistance and Info Fan Crew
  • Assist in scheduling of the Supervisors, Crew Leads and Assistance and Info Fan Crew
  • Assist in training of all Assistance staff
  • Assist in payroll after each event
  • Oversee and supervise Assistance staff
  • Assist in the day-to-day duties in the guest services offices

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in the changing weather
  • Must be able to pass a MVR test
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Positive Attitude
