Daytona International Speedway is the home of “The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500!  Since the conclusion of our massive renovation, Daytona International Speedway now gives our fans the only stadium experience in racing! With our upcoming Coke Zero 400 weekend of events we are currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew that will deliver the best experience in sports!

ADA Cart Fan Crew:
The role of an ADA Cart Fan Crew member is to assist with transportation of disabled guests via golf carts around the facility from the designated pick-up/drop-off locations.

The position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of activities at Daytona International Speedway and its ability to deliver consistently high quality service to all guests, particularly those in need of transportation assistance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Fast learner

  • Ability to work in a fast paced & high stress environment

  • Must be able to pass an MVR test

  • Ability to be on feet in variable weather for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned

Fan Crew is a seasonal/temporary event based position.  Shifts and hours will vary depending on specific event needs. There is a mandatory 60 consecutive days off period in the same calendar year to comply with seasonal employment policies.

ADA Shuttle Stop Attendant Responsibilities:

  • Manage organization and flow of shuttle stop queue line

  • Guide cart drivers to loading position

  • Efficiently load up the carts with guests to not exceed the number of seats available

  • Ensure guests are properly seated before notifying the driver to depart

  • Be able to communicate with drivers and supervisors via communications radio when necessary

     

ADA Cart Driver Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for inspecting vehicle prior to use each day

  • Must follow all DIS driver safety rules

  • Must stay on designated path of travel

  • Be able to communicate with other drivers and supervisors via communications radio when necessary

  • Must be able to pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check

Account Executive - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for generating and driving corporate hospitality and sponsorship revenue by identifying, developing and retaining national/regional/local corporate partners for the Daytona International Speedway.  Candidates should have previous sales experience within the sports and entertainment industry and should have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations and closing sales

  • Set and conduct out of office sales appointments throughout the central Florida Area

  • Acquire new clients, grow revenue from existing clients and strengthen customer relationships

  • Demonstrate sales success with the ability to exceed annual individual sales goals

  • Research leads given and prospect to establish new sales leads

  • Work closely with Daytona International Speedway sales team and other International Speedway Corporation sales staff

Admission Fan Crew:
Admission Fan Crew is an important part of the DAYTONA Guest Experience. Members work at Admission Gates, Tunnels, or the Infield Campgrounds depending on qualifications and interest. Each area is responsible for bringing our Guests an unforgettable racing experience.

Admission Fan Crew is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Main events run January, February, March, May, and July with smaller events throughout the year.

Shift length: 8-12 hours depending on specific event needs and event conditions.  Additional pay is offered to anyone working overnight shifts (5:30PM-6:00AM). Please inquire if interested.

Responsibilities at the Admission Gates:

  • Properly scanning each Guest’s ticket for valid access into the facility.

  • Properly checking each Guest’s credential for valid access into the facility.

  • Assisting Guests with accurate directions and any other assistance on property.

  • All other duties assigned.

Responsibilities at the Tunnels:

  • Checking each vehicle for valid access into the infield.

  • Checking each RV for any items that are prohibited from entrance into the infield campgrounds.

  • Assisting each Camper to their appropriate space.

Archives and Research Center Intern (Summer 2016) - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, Fl)

The Archives and Research Center in Daytona Beach, Florida houses a vast collection of motorsports photography, records, artifacts and other memorabilia, and serves a variety of constituencies, starting with ISC and NASCAR. In addition, the center conducts research for print and electronic media, movie and book projects and also private individuals such as car collectors/restorers. Increasingly, the center has more visibility with the general public via the addition of center tours to the Daytona International Speedway’s VIP Tours; fans now visit the center several times each week. Tours of the center also are arranged for corporate sponsor groups, for NASCAR’s internal employee education program “NASCAR U” and for ISC Employee Orientation sessions. The center is operated by Daytona International Speedway (DIS).

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Archives and Research Center Intern for Summer 2016.
 

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Archives and Research.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating media, industry, private individual research requests
  • Scanning and archiving of historic auto racing photos
  • Assist in development of in-depth inventory of center assets
  • Participation in weekly VIP Tours with fans
  • Participation in bi-weekly meetings with DIS communications and marketing staff
  • Assisting communications/marketing tasks during the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR weekend July 2-5
  • Supporting DIS communications/marketing efforts with photo/records research
  • Assisting in adjustment/alteration of various memorabilia displays at the center
  • Developing creative ideas regarding displays, photo usages, etc.
  • Interacting with the motorsports industry and general public as a representative of the ISC Archives and Research Center

Summer interns are to start May 2, 2016 and work through July 24, 2016. Housing not provided. Intern will be paid minimum wage.

JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator, Special Events is responsible for securing, contracting & executing onsite events on a year round basis along with maintaining the monthly room rental calendar and processing contracts for payment in Webnow. This position is responsible for the day to day operations of Daytona International Speedway’s fan hospitality locations. Managers are responsible for implementing the fan experience provided to them. This position is responsible for over-seeing the receiving, distribution, maintenance of Daytona International Speedway’s seasonal hospitality staff wardrobe. The wardrobe lead oversees all aspects of wardrobe collection.

Security and Parking Event Staff - Event/Temporary - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, Fl)







Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Security Officer: Provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. Screen all persons entering ticketed and/or secure areas for valid credentials/tickets. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Parking Staff: Serve as positive first point of contact with guests. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow to proper areas. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in excess of 8 hours at a time
• Positive attitude!

Valid Driver’s License

This is a temporary, event based position. Shifts and hours will vary based on our event needs. You need not reapply if you have worked for the Security Department in 2015.

Support Team - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)








Support Team assists the entire Guest Services department with critical tasks on event days at Daytona International Speedway. The position is an integral part of bringing our Guests an unforgettable racing experience.

Support Team is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Main events run January-March and July with smaller events throughout the year.

Shift length: 12+ hours depending on specific event needs and event conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup and teardown items such as signage, tents, tables, chairs, and steel barricades.
  • Transporting staff to and from specific work locations on property.
  • Deliver items such as water coolers and event information to Fan Crew Members.
  • Assist all Guest Services Departments with various tasks.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Application check (Valid Driver’s License)
  • Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and personable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must learn quickly and be trainable
  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment
  • Ability to be on feet in for extended periods of time (8-12 hours)
  • Must be able to lift equipment in excess 50lbs
