JOB SUMMARY

The Account Executive is responsible for managing existing Daytona International Speedway accounts as well as actively prospecting new accounts and expanding current business, which includes introducing new partnership opportunities related to the DAYTONA Rising redevelopment project. This sales executive must demonstrate sales experience and contribute to the continuous success of the sales team. The person in this role will cold call, prospect, pitch, negotiatie, close revenue opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Acquire new clients, grow revenue from existing clients and strengthen customer relationships
  • Prospect, establish, research, and close corporate partnerships, suites/hospitality and ticket sales through cold-calling, appointments, and networking
  • Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly corporate revenue and prospecting goals
  • Maintain high level of customer service to existing and new corporate clients
  • Attend networking events, dinners and community events
  • Work closely with Daytona International Speedway sales team and other International Speedway Corporation sales staff
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Sales

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Sales/Marketing/Sports Management
  • A passion for sales and customer development
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional communication and presentation skills (telephone and in-person) Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of the applicable organizations
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Results oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required
  • Strong computer skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ACT Database Management

The Administrative Assistant, supporting both the Senior Director of Sales and the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications, provides administrative and reception support to the Marketing, Public Relations and Sales teams within Daytona International Speedway (DIS). This role fulfills reception duties including greeting all visitors and customers, and assisting them as necessary. Other responsibilities include processing mail, distribution of promotional tickets and hospitality packages, taking accurate messages and distribution of messages, ordering and keeping an inventory of office supplies, filing, keeping the reception area clean and neat, on-site support during events and completion of administrative projects as assigned.

 

 Daily responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and office support to management and team members, including fielding incoming calls, sorting and distribution of incoming mail, expense reports, word processing and filing
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings for managers
  • Make travel arrangements for marketing, PR and sales teams
  • Maintain office supply and apparel orders for each department
  • Input data from various prospect collection events into a database
  • Welcome visitors by greeting and referring them to the appropriate person
  • Assist with the distribution of promotional tickets and suite/hospitality packages
  • Serve as a resource for the Executive Assistant to the President as needed throughout the year

Daytona International Speedway is the home of “The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500. Through the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners the largest audience in motorsports.  The enormous 480 acre motorsports complex is in the middle of a massive $400 million renovation called DAYTONA Rising. Once DAYTONA Rising is complete in January 2016 it will be host to the only Stadium Experience in racing.  Daytona International Speedway is currently looking for motivated and outgoing crew that will deliver the best experience in motorsports!

Admissions Fan Crew:

The role of an Admissions Fan Crew member is a multi-function position.  Crew members will be Bag Checkers, Ticket Takers, or both depending on event scheduling.

Bag Checkers check Guest’s bags for items that are prohibited inside Daytona International Speedway and the Sprint FANZONE. Ticket Takers will verify Guest’s tickets and credentials for valid entry and re-entry into Daytona International Speedway and the Sprint FANZONE.

The position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of activities at Daytona International Speedway and its ability to deliver consistently high quality service to every Guest.

Shift length: 8-12 hours depending on specific event needs

Qualifications/Requirements:

Job Summary:

EVENT TRAM OPERATIONS POSITIONS

EVENT TRAM PLAZA ATTENDANT assists the tram plaza supervisor in the safe and efficient operation of the tram plaza to provide every guest with a great experience. Be proactive in greeting and assisting guests in the queues, insure they are in the correct queue depending on destination and assist in loading and unloading. Professionally and courteously assist guests with questions or be able to direct guests requiring detailed information to the nearest information center. Additionally you may be assigned to work as a tram ambassador. Shifts range from 4 – 14 hours.

EVENT TRAM AMBASSADOR rides on a tram to ensure guests remain seated while the tram is in motion. Assist guests as necessary and as directed by the tram plaza supervisor when loading and unloading trams at tram plazas. Ambassador alerts the driver immediately upon observing any unsafe movement of guests or incidents jeopardizing fan safety, equipment malfunction or failure. Ambassador must make PA announcements and play the designated PA message for each segment. Additionally you may be assigned to work as a plaza attendant. Shifts range from 4 – 14 hours.

EVENT TRAM DRIVER is responsible for driving trucks and tractors that pull trams on an assigned route. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid CDL with Passenger endorsement with current physical. 4 – 14 hours. Drivers must pass a MVR.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include car club racing, motorcycles, civic and social gatherings, and car shows.
Daytona International Speedway is seeking certified Fire Rescue professionals that will interact with our guests and professional racing team participants during racing events.

Essential Functions:
• Perform Fire and EMS response functions. Shifts range from 6-16 hours depending on event.
• Practice and maintain professional work ethic and appearance.

Required Certifications:
• Current State of Florida Fire I & II (Minimum Standards)
• Current State of Florida EMT Basic or Paramedic Certificate (National Registry will not be accepted)
• Current BLS CPR card (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• Current ACLS card (Paramedics) (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
• EVOC or CEVO certificate
• PALS or PEPP cert preferred, but not required (Paramedics)

Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Grad/GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must successfully pass a driving record check.
• Must provide proof of active affiliation with a Florida Public Safety Agency.
• Must attend mandatory annual training.
• Must successfully pass BLS or ALS protocol test as required by Emergency Services Medical Director
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Strong communication skills including written reports.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.

This is a temporary seasonal, event based position. Shifts and hours will vary based on our event needs.  FF/EMT $12/hr; FF/PM $14/hr.  You need not reapply if you have worked for the Emergency Services Department in 2013.

Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Parking Staff: Serve as positive first point of contact with guests. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow to proper areas. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
