Summary:   This position is equivalent to a General Manager of a professional venue.  Responsible for the effective leadership of venue operations including event planning, promotion, menu planning, inventory control standards, compliance with alcohol service polices, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer recruitment training, and supervision.  F&B Manager oversees the operations of concessions and catering during event and non-event periods.  Partners with business unit leadership to manage operations and marketing strategies to increase revenues and guest satisfaction while providing financial analysis, streamlining operations, and effectively managing costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient computer skills to include various internal programs, Microsoft Office programs, email, and internet

  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience

  • Exceptional fiscal management skills, including financial analysis, budget creation, forecasting, labor and inventory control, and P&L oversight

  • TRAVEL UP TO 25% REQUIRED AT DISCRETION OF VP

Qualifications/Education Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelor’s in hospitality or business field

  • This position requires at least 5 years of experience successfully managing F & B operations in a large sports and entertainment venue, theme park, or similar environment

  • Experience managing in a fast-paced environment with focus on providing innovative hospitality, high quality food and beverage services as well as experience in retail merchandise within a venue

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, planning, and organizational abilities. Candidates should be able to work independently, multi-task, solve problems, and collaborate with other staff at all levels. Candidates must demonstrate excellent skills in verbal and written communication

Summary:

The prospective candidate will have 3-5 years in a management level positions at a high-volume sports and entertainment venue, large resort property, or high-volume convention center.  This position involves a high level of interaction with guests, culinary staff and management requiring a strong business sense and professional communication skills.  Builds strong relationships and develops strategies with key partners that will ensure success and support our initiatives and product development efforts to enhance the guest experience. Work in conjunction with culinary and leadership to design and execute high quality presentations, exceed hospitality expectations, and increase profit margin.  This person must be highly skilled at performing financial analysis, event planning, and troubleshooting.

Manager, Corporate Partnerships - Homestead-Miami Speedway (Homestead, FL)

Job Description

  • Responsible for the sale of all Homestead Miami Speedway corporate partnerships and assets.

  • Responsible for the sale of all International Speedway Corporation assets and inventory, in conjunction with the ISC overall strategic sales plan. Work alongside the Director and other corporate sales managers on the overall renewal process for all corporate clients nationally, regionally and local.

  • Work alongside the Director and other corporate sales managers on the delivery of all on-site sponsor and corporate customer requirements, exceeding expectations during race weekend and other affiliated events.

  • Assist in the planning and development of, in accordance with budget guidelines, a local and regional sales and marketing plan for event related activities at HMS. Such activities shall include, but not limited to, event sponsorships, promotional partnerships, displays, and group sales packages including chalets, suites, fan hospitality, tour buses, and other revenue generating opportunities

  • Responsible for the development, marketing and selling of premium corporate entertainment and sponsorship packages to national, regional and local companies. Build and cultivate an ongoing “pipeline” of corporate contacts and potential sponsors. Maintain an updated accurate corporate customer database.

  • Work with the other members of the corporate sales department t towards the objective of delivering exclusive attention to, and creating a first class experience for our sponsors and partners, provide excellent customer service to our corporate customers in a manner consistent with meeting/exceeding expectations. Have an understanding and complete knowledge of all corporate customer activities prior to and during race events. Serve as a customer representative, as needed, to affect timely completion of all track obligations and to coordinate the delivery and distribution of all benefits during events.

Qualifications

 

The successful candidate will be creative, a self-starter, highly motivated, organized and a team player with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task. Candidate is expected to bring a positive attitude to the workplace, to be cheerful, engaging, cooperative and productive, and to perform additional duties as required for the efficient operations of the Speedway. 

·         Four year degree in business management or communications from an accredited college/university.

·         Minimum of five year’s sales experience, specifically in sponsorship or corporate partnerships.

·         Preferably five to ten years’ experience in business development of an organization, preferably within 

           sports or entertainment.

·         Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database programs within a windows

           environment.

·         Strong internal/external customer relations and communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Basic financial skills on a task, project, and processes basis. 

·         Consultative sales style, prospecting skills, and a desire to identify new business opportunities.

Manager, Ticket Operations - Homestead-Miami Speedway (Homestead, FL)

Job Summary:
The Manager of Ticket Operations will be responsible for the oversight, management and accountability of the ticket operations for Homestead-Miami Speedway and all functions pertaining to the operation of the box office.  Candidate must be detail-oriented, motivated and organized with the ability to efficiently manage ticket operations, including the fulfillment of ticket orders and requests, the management of the ticket sales system, the operation of the box office, the monitoring of and processing of reports, and the application of  payments.  In addition, this person will manage the box office staff on race day, as well during other events, such as concerts and special events.  This person will report support the Director of Ticket Sales with all sales and customer service efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of ticket operations department including the box office and day of race ticket operations.
  • Process all ticket orders: individual tickets, groups and premium seat tickets.
  • Oversee all ticket office functions: sales, staffing, cash handling, deposits, etc.
  • Become competent with the ticket system; build events on the system, build ticket accounts, prepare reports, and manage cash payments.
  • Maintain and manage all hard ticket inventory.
  • Develop and maintain files and reports on each event that consists of ticket sales, group sales, comp tickets and overall event audits.
  • Prepare routine ticketing reports (i.e., walk up ticket sales, drop count reports, turnstile reports, group sales reports, etc.).
  • Reconcile daily cash and credit card sales.
  • Manage and control budgeted revenues and expenses for areas of responsibility.
  • Issue and track all complimentary ticket requests, coupons, vouchers and special promotions opportunities.
  • Interact and provide customers with answers to questions and resolve ticketing issues.
  • Assist in resolving any ticket related concerns.
  • Train, orient, manage and lead box office race day staff and interns on how to service ticket accounts along with providing unsurpassed customer service to all fans.
  • Act as liaison with ticket vendors to keep them properly informed about events, ticket sales and ticket operations.
  • Develop relationships with ticket printing companies.
  • Order all ticket stock.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years ticket sales box office experience required
  • Knowledge of various ticketing systems a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong computer proficiency including experience with excel and other database management systems
    1. Ability to use database software to create and maintain call list
    2. Create reports to do forecasting
