Americrown is currently seeking Experienced Banquet Captains to work at 11 of International Speedway Corporation’s Speedways: Auto Club Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Homestead Miami Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, Richmond International Raceway, Talladega Super Speedway, and Watkins Glen International.

Applicants must have reliable transportation; pass a background, credit, and driver’s license check; be prompt; be highly motivated; and most importantly be hospitality minded.

Experience:

  • Prior food service and supervisory experience required (preferably in a stadium or arena)
  • Previous cash handling and bartending experience preferred
  • Food handler and/or alcohol safety certification a plus; course work in hospitality management a plus

Essential Functions:

  • Set-up, maintain and breakdown hospitality suites and chalets. Ensuring your locations are stocked, clean, safe, and that all equipment is working properly. Ensure that all food/beverage items are presented and served correctly. Perform closing duties including but not limited to discarding unconsumed food; repacking paper, equipment and beverage trucks; inventories.
  • Train and supervise “pit crew” team members. This position requires strong time management skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills, verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Applicants must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs throughout your entire shift
  • Constant bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Finance: Controller/Director of Finance
Director of Accounting - Homestead-Miami Speedway (Homestead, FL)

 

SUMMARY:  Director of Accounting is primarily responsible for preparation, review and communication of the business unit’s financial statements and controls, as well as, participating in the development and execution of the business unit’s strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1)      Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, documentation and reconciliations required for monthly/quarterly/yearly close.

2)      Ensure compliance with external reporting standards (GAAP) and internal policies and procedures, including documentation and testing of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 controls.

3)      Clearly communicate and report results of operations to business unit department leaders and corporate finance, which include variance analysis and cause of change schedules.

4)      Prepare, review and communicate financial forecasts for current and future years.

5)      Prepare and review annual budgets.

6)      Providing financial leadership to business unit president and department leaders, including but not limited to, identifying and implementing innovative business solutions aligned to the vision, mission and objectives outlined in the Company’s strategic plan.  Further, preparing and presenting financial analysis and pro-forma reflecting the risks and opportunities of strategic projects resourced in the Company’s operating and capital plans.

7)      Manage cash operations during significant events.  This includes managing the distribution of cash to appropriate personnel, safely and securely collecting cash throughout the event, supervising the counting and recording of cash, and arranging for deposits.  This position must ensure controls are in place minimize risk of loss and maintain a high level of security around the cash operations function.

8)      Preparation and timely filing of applicable tax responsibilities, including sales, tangible and intangible personal and real property.

9)      Oversee preparation of payroll and ensure compliance of documented Human Resource policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage one employee in the Administration (Accounting) function.  Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Degree in Accounting from an accredited university with at least five years related experience, at least three of which involve supervisory responsibilities.  Must have a clear understanding and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Experience with publicly traded companies is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and/or Certified Management Accountant, preferred

Summary: Homestead-Miami Speedway is seeking a Manager of Community Outreach. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is interested in learning in all aspects of marketing to create and manage community outreach programs tied to Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about promotion, preferably with a working knowledge of, and passion for, motorsports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Reach out to current fans and potential future fans to drive awareness and social interaction
• Represent HMS at local and regional events, festivals, and various other assigned events
• ENGAGE guests while disseminating various promotional information on HMS events
• Collect database information
• Sell HMS event tickets at promotional events
• Operate and maintain promotional equipment; including but not limited to: HMS truck/trailer, show car(s), tents and other items as necessary
• Work with HMS’ media agency to run in-market media promotions
• Work with HMS’ current and potential corporate partners to activate their sponsorships in a manner that helps drive ticket sales for HMS and meets the goals of partner(s)
• Develop and manage the HMS Kids Club
• Manage fan experience elements on race weekend to include, but not limited to, leaderboard, kids zone, and concerts
• Design, implement and execute the overall strategic plan for the HMS Foundation
• Manage the HMS Foundation budget
• Develop new, creative and impactful programs that benefit the local community, while enhancing the HMS brand within it

Homestead-Miami Speedway is a world-class motorsports facility located just south of Miami in tropical South Florida. The Speedway is the home of Ford Championship Weekend, the season-finales for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, as well as the Grand Prix of Miami Grand-Am sports car event weekend. Homestead-Miami Speedway is hiring a Manager of Hispanic Marketing to promote motorsports, and specifically NASCAR racing to audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for the Manager of Hispanic Marketing position include:
• Developing a short and long term marketing plans for the Hispanic community.
• Coordinating marketing and advertising campaigns within a strict budget.
• Identifying, coordinating and implementing promotions with track and event sponsors.
• Supporting the Speedway’s overall marketing campaigns.
• Oversee creation of Spanish-language collateral including posters, ticket brochures, postcards, etc.

• Coordinating Web site content, editorial and press release development and mailings to Hispanic community.
• Coordinating new business development presentations. Assist in all arrangements and archiving of advertising samples, supplies, collateral materials.
• Creating and overseeing specific strategies for all social media outlets for Hispanic community.
• Identifying and maintaining contact with potential and existing customers as required.

Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) is a subsidiary of International Speedway Corporation (ISC), a world leader in Motorsports Entertainment. Description:

·         Assist the marketing and communications team with extensive activities including (but not limited to)in-market promotions, advertising, media promotions, ticket sales, event marketing, grassroots marketing, digital media, community relations, youth marketing, and creative.

·         Assist the Media Relations team with press releases, driver in-market events, and various communications projects.

·         Assist with event management during Ford Championship Weekend at Speedway (to include media center, press box, TV and radio broadcasts), as well as media-specific programs (press conferences, special events, etc.).

·         Position will also help with weekend marketing initiatives including the Ford Championship Weekend Pre-Race shows.

Requirements:
