Summary:

Based at Homestead- Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida, the food and beverage manager is responsible for the effective leadership of venue operations including event planning, promotion, menu planning, inventory control standards, compliance with alcohol service policies, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer recruitment, training and supervision. Venue manager oversees the operations of Premium and Concession  during event and non-event periods. Partner with business unit leadership to manage operations and marketing strategies to increase revenues and guest satisfaction while providing financial analysis, streamlining operations and effectively managing costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the management staff to identify and evaluate strategies
  • Monitor all event activity to ensure proper planning and execution for events

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate on various levels to include Senior Management, BU Management, Marketing, Community Leaders, customer and sponsors.
  • Proficient computer skills to include various internal programs, Microsoft Office programs, email and internet
  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience
  • Exceptional fiscal management skills including financial analysis, budget creation, forecasting, labor and inventory control and P&L oversight
     

Qualifications/Education Requirements:
This position requires at least 5 years of experience successfully managing venues in sports and entertainment, theme park or similar environment. Experience managing in a fast-paced environment with focus on providing innovative hospitality, high quality food and beverage services. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, planning, and organizational abilities. Candidates should be able to work independently, multi-task, solve problems, and collaborate with other staff at all levels. Candidates must demonstrate excellent skills in verbal and written communication.

Marketing Coordinator - Homestead- Miami Speedway (Homestead, FL)

The Speedway has been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew.  The 650-acre facility is active more than 280 days per year and will host NASCAR’s championship races during Ford Championship Weekend (November 14-16, 2014) for the 13th consecutive year.  The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship Ford EcoBoost 400 is broadcast live on TV and radio to 200 countries in 24 languages.  Homestead-Miami Speedway, featuring a 1.5-mile oval and 2.21-mile road course, generates more than $250 million annually for the region.

Summary: Homestead-Miami Speedway is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is interested in learning in all aspects of marketing and to assist the marketing and communications department in all facets of department responsibilities.

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about marketing, preferably with a working knowledge of, and passion for, motorsports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Work with marketing and communications team to achieve department goals
  • Assist with social marketing, website management, and ticket package promotions
  • Help coordinate and produce marketing collateral, including but not limited to print and online advertising, brochures, sales materials, event collateral, signage, and special projects
  • Help plan and create unique video content to be used on HMS’ digital channels
  • Aid in sponsor promotions and to help promote ticket sales and sponsor activation
  • Assist with creating unique fan email communications, including monthly newsletters and promotional emails
  • Assist in database management
  • Assist with pre-race and post-race ceremonies
  • Operate and maintain promotional equipment; including but not limited to: HMS truck/trailer, show car(s), tents and other items as necessary
  • Help organize departmental logistics for events
  • Other duties as required to possibly include the youth, college and multicultural segments
  • Reach out to current fans and potential future fans to drive awareness and social interaction
  • Represent HMS at local and regional events, festivals, and various other assigned events
  • Engage guests while disseminating various promotional information on HMS events
  • Assist in the management of fan experience elements on race weekend to include, but not limited to, leaderboard, kids zone, and concerts
  • Attend Chamber and CVB events as necessary
  • Remain aware of trends in the industry and marketplace
  • Work event nights, weekends and holidays as assigned (i.e. attend community events and programs)
  • Represent the team at various community events, such as festivals, sporting events, community events etc. with the responsibility of informing the community about the track and the foundation
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

SUMMARY

Homestead-Miami Speedway is hiring a Marketing Manager (Growth Segments) to promote motorsports, and specifically NASCAR racing to audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for the Marketing Manager position include:

  • Developing a short and long term marketing plans for the Hispanic and Youth segments.
  • Identifying, coordinating and implementing target specific promotions with track and event sponsors.
  • Oversee creation of Spanish-language collateral including posters, ticket brochures, postcards, etc.
  • Determining target Hispanic and Youth markets and choosing the proper media to reach them.
  • Developing promotional relationships with Hispanic radio/TV stations to improve on-air/in-market consumer promotions.
  • Creating Hispanic and Youth Fan Development strategies throughout the calendar year
  • Creating and executing a strategy to connect with Hispanic and Youth populations via large-scale events, neighborhood programs, special interest programs, community-based organizations, appearances, clinics, etc.
  • Participating and networking within the Hispanic community and industry. Get involved in industry related associations and community organizations.
  • Creating and administering the delivery of brand-specific e-newsletters to Hispanic community.
  • Creating and overseeing specific strategies for all digital and social media outlets for Hispanic community.
  • Development of meaningful youth outreach platforms that could include field trips, reading programs, STEM programs, speaker series etc.
  • Understanding and supporting the company's sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers.

Track Rentals & Guest Services Manager - Homestead-Miami Speedway (Homestead, FL)

Homestead-Miami Speedway is looking for a talented professional to join our Operations Department in the position of Manager, Track Rentals & Guest Services based in Homestead, Florida. The Manager, Track Rentals & Guest Services will provide administrative and business support by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

TRACK RENTAL:
     •     Main point of contact for track rental customers
     •     Prepare and process track usage and facility agreements
     •     Coordinate with accounting to ensure track rentals fees are paid prior to rentals
     •     Work directly with CertFocus to ensure certificates of insurance are received and approved  
     •     Maintain and distribute track rental calendar to all departments

GUEST SERVICES:

Non-event days:
     •    Coordinate the hiring volunteers/civic groups for events
     •    Prepare and process all service agreements, insurance and check requests
     •    Schedule event training days for volunteers and civic groups
     •    Develop the training program and prepare training manuals/materials to be distributed

Event day duties:
     •    Coordinate volunteers/civic groups check-in on event days, issuing uniforms and credentials
     •    Prepare and distribute event information to all volunteers/civic groups
     •    Assist with guest issues and complaints
     •    Interact with guests to understand their outlook on the events and relay information to management
     •    Interact with event day staff, assist them with their tasks, learn from their experience, and work with  
           management to increase event volunteers/civic groups satisfaction

Qualifications include the following:
