Corporate Partnerships Executive - Michigan International Speedway (Brooklyn, MI)

Qualifications:

  • 4 year College degree – Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science preferably in sports management, business and/or marketing and communications
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills 
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of corporate sales, preferably in sports sponsorship sales 
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and database programs within a Windows environment
  • Valid drivers license

Responsibilities:

  • Use face-to-face communication and “cold calling” to develop new corporate hospitality and sponsorship partners.
  • Participate in strategic regional sales initiatives.
  • Assist with the creation, development and implementation of new marketing concepts designed to
    generate revenue streams.
  • Manage and maintain a select number of current partnership accounts, while upholding a high level of
    customer service.
  • Work with Americrown and other departments within Michigan International Speedway to ensure the
    fulfillment of all on-site benefits for associated partners.
  • Assist with delivery of on-site sponsor benefits.
  • Work with the communications department to develop and execute promotional activation with current
    and potential partners.
  • Fully utilize EBMS as a CRM, inventory control and forecasting tool.
  • Limited amount of travel may be required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Director of Marketing & Communications - Michigan International Speedway (Brooklyn, MI)

               

Michigan International Speedway is currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to join the best team in Motorsports, as a Director of Marketing & Communications.  The Director of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for strategic planning and implementation of all branding, advertising, promotions, digital/social, public relations, community relations and other elements to continue to build consumer ticket sales for Michigan International Speedway. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports consumer marketing, with a leadership and teamwork mentality to help build and foster a positive culture at Michigan International Speedway.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Budget

    • Develop and manage Marketing Department budget

  • Consumer Marketing

    • Develop overall consumer marketing objectives, goals, strategic plan and implementation of plan

    • Develop renewal strategy

    • Develop ticket on-sale strategy with all departments

    • A contact for ISC Consumer Marketing Department

    • Develop customer segments and target lists

    • Creation and communication of ticket offers

    • Assist with execution of consumer based Business Development partnership activations in market and at-track

    • Work with Ticketing Sr. Director to develop overall MIS communication plan for the ISC Contact Center, outbound call campaigns and other sales efforts

    • Work with Ticketing Sr. Director to identify opportunities to maximize sales efforts via ISC Contact Center

  • Advertising and Branding

    • Develop strategy and execution for all track advertising and branding including creative development

    • Point of contact with outside ad agency for placement and evaluation of all advertising and media concepts.

  • Promotions

    • Develop strategy and execution of media promotions

    • Development on marketing partner promotions and strategy

  • Digital

    • Create & define digital marketing presence to provide synergy with agency branding

    • Work with ISC to develop website look and feel, flow, communication and ticket process

    • Develop email newsletter look and feel, schedule and distribution to fan base

    • Develop and implement plans for growing social network involvement, engagement ideas and increasing ticket sales

  • At-Track Event Experience

    • Create unique fan programming

    • Execution of MIS consumer programs

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management, Marketing or related field

  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful consumer marketing, branding and/or advertising/promotions

  • Previous management/supervisory experience

  • Superior communication, leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Very strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

  • Self-motivated with positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours

Michigan International Speedway is currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to join the best team in Motorsports, as a Sr. Director of Ticket Sales.  The Sr. Director of Ticket Sales is the team leader responsible for increasing the revenue generating capabilities of Ticket Sales for Michigan International Speedway. 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ticket Sales:  Leading the sales of ticket inventory to individuals, businesses and organizations through prospecting and calling new and existing clients.  The ideal person will have demonstrated experience in driving performance, managing/training a diverse team and ensuring that all team members meet weekly and monthly sales activities and goals.  He/She must develop and implement solutions that maximize the profit generated through ticket prices, products, use of the secondary ticket market and packages sold to customers and clients.  Hitting personal sales goals, leading by example while driving the daily sales activity and revenue goals of the team through both calls and in-person meetings is a key component of this position.  The Sr. Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for the hiring, training, managing and mentoring the Ticket Sales Staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management, Marketing or related field a plus

  • Previous management/supervisory experience

  • Superior communication, leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Maintain 75-100 call per day volume as well as an aggressive sales and meetings schedule.

  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales goals by developing new relationships and growing existing relationships.

  • Set appointments with key decision makers in the community to assess the opportunity to develop and grow opportunities at MIS

  • Process orders using the current ticketing system

  • Provide superior customer service

  • Requires some nights and weekends

  • Assist with additional duties and task as assigned
