Americrown is currently seeking Experienced Banquet Captains to work at 11 of International Speedway Corporation’s Speedways: Auto Club Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Homestead Miami Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, Richmond International Raceway, Talladega Super Speedway, and Watkins Glen International.

Applicants must have reliable transportation; pass a background, credit, and driver’s license check; be prompt; be highly motivated; and most importantly be hospitality minded.

Experience:

  • Prior food service and supervisory experience required (preferably in a stadium or arena)
  • Previous cash handling and bartending experience preferred
  • Food handler and/or alcohol safety certification a plus; course work in hospitality management a plus

Essential Functions:

  • Set-up, maintain and breakdown hospitality suites and chalets. Ensuring your locations are stocked, clean, safe, and that all equipment is working properly. Ensure that all food/beverage items are presented and served correctly. Perform closing duties including but not limited to discarding unconsumed food; repacking paper, equipment and beverage trucks; inventories.
  • Train and supervise “pit crew” team members. This position requires strong time management skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills, verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Applicants must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs throughout your entire shift
  • Constant bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Job Summary:

Americrown Service Corporation is seeking applicants to fill as needed for general maintenance at our various locations during events and possibly during off season as well. No travel is required but the opportunity may be available to those who wish to and are qualified.

Multimedia Communications Manager - Richmond International Raceway (Richmond, VA)

Job Summary:

Works in conjunction with the communications and consumer marketing teams to translate Richmond International Raceway’s voice, advocacy, social impact and customer value into relevant and meaningful multimedia content for the consumer.  The Multimedia Communications Manager is responsible for the design, planning, scheduling and management of multimedia projects that complement the content marketing plan, to provide an exceptional user experience for our customers.

The Multimedia Communications Manager should have a passion for engaging storytelling and will be responsible for bringing that story to life. Whether to educate, entertain or inspire, this means creating a consistent customer experience across all digital channels.  The Multimedia Communications Manager reports directly to the Director of Communications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Video Production

  • Develop an integrated video strategy to complement the year-long content marketing plan.
  • Pre-production, production and post-production of engaging videos, which includes shooting and editing footage,  creating and/or editing sound effects, voiceover and music bed, photos, text and motion graphics.
  • Create content to drive engagement and sharing through social and digital platforms.
  • Create and maintain digital video media library.?
  • Manage, organize, and maintain studio video equipment.?
  • Keep up-to-date on emerging technology.

Website Management

  • Design and develop compelling, innovative multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, video, sound and content.
  • Maintain existing pages and ensure content is consistent with the content marketing plan.
  • Provide relevant updates, including race weekend content.
  • Design and build landing pages, web banners and web graphics, with a focus on customer centric/user-friendly designs.
  • Develop and manage product placement strategy to drive ecommerce.
  • Oversee content and updates to mobile website and mobile app.
  • Monitor trends that are influencing consumer behavior and expectations and identify ways to drive engagement and community growth.
  • Manage Richmond International Raceway content posted on the International Speedway Corporation Portal, including press releases, video, audio, photos and employee profiles.

Social Media

  • Oversee all aspects of Richmond International Raceway’s social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram).
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that complements the year-long content marketing plan, which will include providing daily updates, interactive content, photos, video and other engaging activity.
  • In conjunction with the consumer marketing department, serve as a consistent “voice” by responding to fan comments and questions, as well as monitor industry conversations and engage with media when appropriate.
  • Develop and oversee race weekend social media plan, which includes managing a social media team, creating talking points, developing a communication schedule and working with industry experts to organize tweet-ups.
  • Work with the sales department to provide premium assets and activations for partners, as well as new business opportunities within the social and digital platforms.
  • Maintain Richmond International Raceway’s social presence year-round through support of grass-roots efforts, complex events and community events.
  • Build and maintain relationship with social media leaders.
  • Monitor trends in the social media ecosystem, keep up-to-date on emerging technology and raise opportunities to evolve the platform.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or education/experience equivalency
  • Ability to produce and edit HD video for release to any medium (web, TV, DVD, etc.), with a well-rounded demo reel
  • Proficient in Adobe FinalCut Pro, Premier Pro, After Effects and Audition, as well as Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Knowledge of photography editing processes and ability to upload photos to website
  • Has a handle on visual design principles and how they apply to the Web and Mobile
  • Ability to work cross platform between Mac and PC
  • Able to take creative direction, collaborate and communicate with consumer marketing, sales and communications teams
  • Prior experience in optimizing content for digital channels, as well as producing socially relevant content.

The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for supporting the Director of Accounting in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department for event(s) and day-to-day operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform and prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Prepare applicable corporate reports monthly in conjunction with corporate deadlines.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for Director of Accounting review.
  • Process all miscellaneous receipts and ensure Accounts Receivable is billed accurately and timely.
  • Aid in event treasury management, payroll, and reporting responsibilities.
  • Research any customer or vendor claims, disputes, or inquiries related to Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable process.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and billing
  • Assist the Director of Accounting with budget and forecast preparation.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and managing of all past-due customer accounts receivable
  • Perform special finance projects as requested by the Director of Accounting
  • Prepare monthly and weekly reports as required to provide management with current operating data and performance.
  • Coordinate the monthly accounting close process in conjunction with the Director of Accounting in a timely manner while ensuring the financial records are accurate and complete.

Education and/or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting from a four-year college or university, is preferred.
  • Prefer 3-5 years of relevant experience

Richmond International Raceway, known as America’s Premier Short Track, offers great night racing action and a commitment to the fan experience. One of the most popular facilities among drivers and fans in all of motorsports, Richmond International Raceway annually hosts two NASCAR Doubleheader weekends, featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, under the lights on a ¾-mile D-Shaped oval. The unique layout traditionally produces exciting side-by-side racing, yet drivers reach high enough speeds for a superspeedway feel.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Ticket Office Intern will experience all aspects of Ticketing with a large focus on customer service. The Intern will work as part of a team with other ticket agents and will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Ticketing. This is a seasonal position from January 5, 2015 through September 18, 2015, which includes two NASCAR race weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work all NASCAR events at Richmond International Raceway assisting with Ticket Office operations and all ticketing initiatives.
  • Assist staff with day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with incoming calls and greeting visitors in Ticket Office
  • Assist customers with merchandise purchases
  • Allocate incoming track tour request to appropriate departments
  • Learn and use FanTracker ticketing system for reports and account updates
  • Call campaigns for ticket holders and prospective buyers
  • Respond to customer feedback and questions by phone and email
  • Assist with data entry including prospect information, current customer information, and financial information
  • Help organize and input incoming payments
  • Attend outbound and community events to promote upcoming races, including nights and weekends.
