Consumer Marketing Intern - Richmond International Raceway (Richmond, VA)
Richmond International Raceway is looking for a driven individual who enjoys working in a fun, collaborative environment. The Marketing Intern is an integral part of a growing Consumer Marketing team. This position will assist with the execution and fulfillment of all promotions, contribute to the development of added value programming, and assist in engaging fans through the RIR Kids Club and community events. The Marketing Internship is a seasonal position from January 25, 2016 through September 30, 2016, which includes two NASCAR race weekends (April 22-24 and September 9-11).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Execute fan promotions and sweepstakes, including developing rules, promoting and implementing the sweepstakes through the fulfillment stage
Assist with prospect data collection and uploading to CRM tool.
Assist with reviewing and approving media buys and added value promotions.
Oversee fulfillment of all promotional requests, which includes but is not limited to: shipping tickets and inventory, communicating on-air copy to stations and contacting contest winners.
Manage daily operations of the RIR Kids Club, which includes but is not limited to: database management and communication, developing and distributing advertising collateral, shipping membership packages and ensuring sponsor fulfillment.
Manage the outbound events team, ensuring prospect collection goals are met and the RIR brand is properly represented.
Assist with execution of the Paint the Town program including development and distribution of materials used to promote our two NASCAR race weekends.
Collaborate with the Consumer Marketing team to develop added value programming on-site during race weekend, including Track Takeover, Post Race Party, ticket holder events, and driver appearances and autograph sessions.
Contribute to the development of University Ambassador program.
Work with the Ticket Office on incoming calls, in-office ticket sales and ticket shipments, when necessary.
Must be professional and exhibit strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to think creatively.
Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible hours based on the workload, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Available to work some evenings and weekend events as needed.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat preferred, but not required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Corporate Partnership Intern - Richmond International Raceway (Richmond, VA)
Job Summary: Internship will be working in the Corporate Sales department at Richmond International Raceway. Internship will start in January 2016 and conclude in early/mid May 2016. Corporate Partnership Intern responsibilities will consist of working with the corporate sales team in revenue generation, partnership management, fulfillment of deliverables, creating and executing lead generation programs and other duties as required. Race weekend client interaction and activation, VIP tours and logistics.
Performs any combination of the following duties according to specific departmental guidelines:
Research targeted companies for sales opportunities
Cold call targeted companies to set meetings and drive revenue
Develop lead generating programs
Assist with fulfillment of partner obligation
Represent RIR at outbound eventss
Performs other such duties as may be assigned

Ticket Sales Account Executive - Richmond International Raceway (Richmond, VA)
POSITION SUMMARY The Ticket Sales Account Executive will be responsible for generating new revenue through the sale of tickets, event upgrades and specialty ticket packages to local and regional companies, in addition to managing existing accounts as assigned. This position will deliver an enhanced fan experience by building relationships with local and regional businesses and providing excellent service. Additionally, the Account Executive will be responsible for representing the Raceway at events throughout the region. The ideal candidate will be an aggressive self-starter with a passion for sales in order to proactively engage prospects through outbound calls, face to face appointments, networking events and at-track meetings.
Effectively promote and sell tickets, event upgrades and specialty packages for NASCAR weekends and other events at the Raceway to local and regional companies
Develop and execute a plan for renewal customers
Generate sales through outbound telephone calls (weekly quota), outside appointments and other communication methods
Develop referrals and leads through networking, cold calling, prospecting and other techniques
Build and maintain customer database
Maintain and produce accurate reports regarding sales, appointments, and prospecting calls
Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as required
Work and perform assigned responsibilities during event weeks at a high level
Provide superior customer service in a timely and efficient manner
Attend and contribute to weekly sales team meetings
Effectively communicate across all areas of the company, including Ticketing, Consumer Marketing, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Public Relations, Community Outreach, etc
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Business Development

Successful completion of prior sales training programs is highly desired
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Skilled in use of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
Prior experience with a CRM program is a plus
Knowledge of and interest in NASCAR and/or motorsports industry a plus
