Director Consumer Marketing - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

The Director of Consumer Marketing will be responsible for strategic planning and implementation of all branding, advertising, promotions, digital/social, and other elements to continue to build consumer ticket sales for Talladega Superspeedway. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports consumer marketing, with leadership and teamwork mentality to help build and foster a positive culture at Talladega Superspeedway.

    • Create & define digital marketing presence to provide synergy with agency branding

    • Develop and implement plans for growing social network involvement, engagement ideas and increasing ticket sales

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management, Marketing or related field

  • Very strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

Director of Accounting - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

SUMMARY:  Director of Accounting is primarily responsible for preparation, review and communication of the business unit’s financial statements and controls, as well as, participating in the development and execution of the business unit’s strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, documentation and reconciliations required for monthly/quarterly/yearly close.
  2. Ensure compliance with external reporting standards (GAAP) and internal policies and procedures, including documentation and testing of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 controls.
  3. Clearly communicate and report results of operations to business unit department leaders and corporate finance, which include variance analysis and cause of change schedules.
  4. Prepare, review and communicate financial forecasts for current and future years.
  5. Prepare and review annual budgets.
  6. Providing financial leadership to business unit president and department leaders, including but not limited to, identifying and implementing innovative business solutions aligned to the vision, mission and objectives outlined in the Company’s strategic plan.  Further, preparing and presenting financial analysis and pro-forma reflecting the risks and opportunities of strategic projects resourced in the Company’s operating and capital plans.
  7. Preparation and timely filing of applicable tax responsibilities, including sales, tangible and intangible personal and real property.


Manage one employee in the Administration (Accounting) function.  Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Degree in Accounting from an accredited university with at least five years related experience, at least three of which involve supervisory responsibilities.  Must have a clear understanding and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Experience with publicly traded companies and or public accounting experience is a plus.


Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and/or Certified Management Accountant, preferred

Sales & Marketing: Ticket Sales Management
Ticket Manager - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

The Ticket Manager will be responsible for the daily coordination, oversight and accountability of ticket operations and sales for Talladega Superspeedway. The ideal candidate will have a background in ticket operations and sales with the ability to help build a positive culture in our ticketing department. Some key responsibilities include supervising order fulfillment, managing the ticketing system, processing reports, coordinating renewals, and preparing financial documents. In addition, this person will manage box office staff during events, including hiring, training and scheduling. This position reports to the Director of Ticketing and has one full-time and one part-time direct report.


  • Manage all aspects of ticketing for NASCAR and other designated events held at Talladega Superspeedway.
  • Serve as liaison to the ISC Contact Center on customer service, ticketing issues and updates to the information portal.
  • Help mentor all team members in sales efforts, customer service and daily operations of the ticket department.
  • Build and leverage relationships with current and prospective customers in order to promote sales growth.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service including ticketing, camping or other TSS concerns.
  • Proactively look for ways to enhance overall ticketing operations, including policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile daily TSS sales activity; prepare deposits and daily batch detail reports.
  • Follow proper accounting procedures for ticket sales, deposits, cash needs and all financial reporting.
  • Manage routine updates to FanTracker software, including, event zones, packages, and special offers.
  • Coordinate timelines for all printing, shipment and order fulfillment with the Director of Ticketing.
  • Working in conjunction with all internal departments, process orders and distribute inventory to fulfill department needs & requests, including complimentary tickets.
  • Develop relationships internally with ISC Systems Analysts’ to assist with ticketing software problems and specialty functions such as creating renewals, manifest changes, etc.
  • Maintain vault inventory log and assist with preparing related reports for distribution and usage.
  • Assist with preparing various ticket sales reports, including those for Sales Representatives and Track Management.
  • Assist in training new staff on ticketing software as it relates to the following: processing ticket orders, printing daily activity reports, reconciling cash & check payments, and other routine tasks.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation for the ticketing department that may be needed for auditing purposes.
  • Responsible for hiring, scheduling, training and managing all event-weekend staff and interns.

The Ticketing Services Intern will learn the intricacies of the Talladega Superspeedway Ticket Operations Department while strengthening their professional attributes. To participate in this internship, students must be able to receive credit from their college/university or have recently graduated.


  • Work all NASCAR sanctioned events at Talladega Superspeedway assisting with box office operations, ticketing functions, and consumer marketing initiatives

These are all great opportunities for your group to maximize profits and be a part of the action. TSS will provide your group a fun, fast-paced, and exciting environment to reach your fundraising goals!

Your group has an opportunity to volunteer as Ushers, Gate Staff (Bag Checkers/Ticket Scanners), or Tram Staff. Pay is determined by the position your group works but ranges from $50-$60 per person per shift worked.

Do you provide training?

YES! We here at Talladega, we strive to have the best possible event staff so we will work with your group to arrange training sessions so you can best serve our guests. If group members do not complete the training, they are unable to work.
