POSITION SUMMARY
Talladega Superspeedway has openings for part-time Event Ticketing Staff for NASCAR and other publicly ticketed events throughout the year. This is a temporary position working on-site at Talladega Superspeedway assisting with event ticketing. Event Ticketing Staff are often the first representatives to greet fans and must provide exceptional customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a staff member working in one of our ticket box offices, providing exceptional customer service to all event patrons. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Selling tickets to all walk-up customers utilizing the Fantracker ticketing software
    • Printing & distributing tickets to customers who have selected Will Call
    • Handling camping registration and check-in
    • Process multiple forms of payment, including cash and credit card
  • Develop a working knowledge of Talladega Superspeedway pricing, policies, procedures and general event information. As the first line for guest questions, Event Ticketing Staff must be able to answer questions or direct guests in the proper direction.
  • Assist with other duties assigned by Ticket Supervisors or the Director of Ticketing.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and ability to provide a high level of customer service is required
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high energy environment
  • Event staffing or ticket sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience using computer software programs preferred
  • Flexible schedule during the event
  • Ability to attend training session(s) prior to the event
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation to and from Talladega Superspeedway


OTHER INFO
This is a part time, hourly position working only during major event weekends. Some shifts may begin as early as 7:00am; exact hours to be determined.

Guest Services Information Services Lead (Seasonal/Event Based) - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

Position Summary
The Information Services Lead is an important part of the Talladega Superspeedway Experience.  We are currently searching for the best talent to become a member of the Information Services department of Guest Services. As a member you will be responsible for bringing our guest an unforgettable racing experience here at the biggest and baddest track in NASCAR!

Responsibilities of the Information Lead:

  • Supervise the Text Message and Lost and Found systems during assigned shift

  • Assist with the Fan Information Hotline

  • Have a strong understanding of the Talladega Superspeedway facility layout to provide guests with directions, facility services, amenities, etc.

  • Serves as an information specialist and knowledgeable about each event in order to respond appropriately to guest comments, questions, and requests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

  • Handle a variety of customer inquiries  in a professional manner including but not limited to seating/ticket issues

Qualifications:

  • Must be very computer literate

This Information Services position is ONLY a seasonal/temporary event based position. Main events run May and October with possible smaller events throughout the year. Shift length: 12 hours and pays $10.00 an hour.

Position Summary

The Support Team assists the entire Guest Services department with critical tasks on event days at Talladega SuperSpeedway. Manager of Concession Services is responsible for the overall operation of a concession facility. POSITION SUMMARY
The Public Relations Intern will learn the intricacies of the Talladega Superspeedway Public Relations Department while strengthening his or her own professional attributes. To participate in this internship, students must be able to receive credit from their college or university, or have graduated within the last 12 months.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write and edit official track press releases/announcements
• Research and develop story ideas for releases, souvenir event program
• Assist in maintaining strong ties to track community through charitable donations and events

Position Summary
The Stadium Fan Crew is a new yet pivotal position here at Talladega Superspeedway.  As a member of the Stadium Fan Crew the main responsibility will be enforcing all speedway policies within the seating areas of the stadium, and assisting ushers with any duties they may need help with to provide the guests with an unforgettable racing experience here at the biggest and baddest track in NASCAR!

Responsibilities of the Stadium Fan Crew:

  • Have a clear understanding and enforce Talladega policies and procedures

  • Monitor and control crowd during all events to ensure policies and procedures are followed including but not limited to:

    • Enforcing the No Smoking Policy in Seating Areas

    • Enforcing other Speedway policies and procedures as directed

    • Assisting with upgraded issues from the usher team

  • Provide assistance and clear directions during emergency situations

  • Immediately report any suspicious activity or unattended items to supervisor

  • Immediately report any safety violations/injuries to supervisor. Write clear and concise incident reports

  • Respond quickly and correctly to an incident. Utilize friendly persuasion and be firm and consistent while maintaining the highest professional standards

POSITION SUMMARY

The Ticket Sales Account Executive will be responsible for generating new revenue through the sale of tickets, camping and event weekend upgrades to individual consumers and groups, in addition to managing existing accounts. This position will deliver an enhanced fan experience by building relationships with fans and providing excellent service.   • Develop referrals and leads through networking, cold calling, prospecting and other techniques

  • Retain and maximize critical portfolio of Talladega clients, including an assigned segment of core business

  • Maintain and produce accurate reports regarding sales, appointments, and prospecting calls

  • Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as required

  • Work and perform assigned responsibilities during event weeks at a high level

  • Provide superior customer service in a timely and efficient manner
