Americrown is currently seeking Experienced Banquet Captains to work at 11 of International Speedway Corporation’s Speedways: Auto Club Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Homestead Miami Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, Richmond International Raceway, Talladega Super Speedway, and Watkins Glen International.

Applicants must have reliable transportation; pass a background, credit, and driver’s license check; be prompt; be highly motivated; and most importantly be hospitality minded.

Experience:

  • Prior food service and supervisory experience required (preferably in a stadium or arena)
  • Previous cash handling and bartending experience preferred
  • Food handler and/or alcohol safety certification a plus; course work in hospitality management a plus

Essential Functions: 

  • Set-up, maintain and breakdown hospitality suites and chalets. Ensuring your locations are stocked, clean, safe, and that all equipment is working properly. Ensure that all food/beverage items are presented and served correctly. Perform closing duties including but not limited to discarding unconsumed food; repacking paper, equipment and beverage trucks; inventories. 
  • Train and supervise “pit crew” team members. This position requires strong time management skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills, verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Applicants must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs throughout your entire shift
  • Constant bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive motions. 
  • Exposure to a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Administration/General Management: Administrative/Executive Assistant
Business Development Coordinator - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

 

 

 

 

Description: Position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and acts as support for the Sales and Marketing department. Position is responsible for general administrative work for the department, compiling weekly sales reports, contract fulfillment, recording of customer sales, and sponsor credentials. Position will also work with accounting and ticketing to insure 100 % client operational success.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• EBMS System Input and Analyses
• Departments administration including answering of phones, ordering of supplies, shipping and mailing, filing, etc
• Budget and invoicing, coding, balancing accounts for all three departments
• Weekly and monthly sales report
• Consumer Marketing Reports
• Department organization including recording, payment, booking and auditing
• Contract fulfillment and sponsor obligations
• Aging report and follow-up
• Fulfillment of sponsor and media promotional tickets
• Processing individual customer orders
• Assist the department and track with special events
• In-Office Representative during all NASCAR event weekends.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with external and internal publics
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize, organize and manage time and resources effectively
• Detail oriented and self-directed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Qualifications:
• College degree, preferably in related business field, i.e. Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management
• 1-2 years sales experience, preferably in sports environment

Coordinator, Public Relations - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

 

 

 

 

Position reports the Director of Public & Community Relations and acts as support for the Public Relations Department. Position requires creative thinking and organizational skills, along with the ability to work with other track departments, to insure success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Draft and distribute TSS press/photo releases/fact sheets to national/regional/local media; post press releases to TSS website
• Assist with media events both at Talladega Superspeedway & outside the facility
• Manage/Assist with Media Center/Press Box/Credentials operations for event weekends
• Manage temporary staff each event weekend (Public Address, Media Center, Press Box, credentials, TSS special events, community events, etc.)
• Manage credential/ticket requests (media and non-media)
• Work with all TSS department heads concerning credentials – distribution/follow-up post race
• Manage donation requests including distribution of complementary tickets, certificates
• Assist in management of Driver/owner lot correspondence for parking, etc., for race weekend
• Photograph/video media events and promotions; upload to FTP site
• Maintain photo archives and responsible for all photo requests
• Maintain Media archives and reports from VOCUS
• Assist with website
• Manage development of media guides
• Assist with development of souvenir programs for each event weekend
• Create PowerPoint presentations for TSS community events
• Assist in maintaining general and race budget used by PR, including PO’s and coding invoices
• Assist with event PA announcements & Sprint Vision content
• Assist the department and track with special events, off-site promotions and other activities
• Other duties as assigned

Technical abilities:
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel and Access) and Microsoft Outlook
• Knowledge of video/photo editing software preferred

Food, Beverage and Merchandise Manager - Americrown Service Corporation (Talladega, AL)

 

 

 

Summary:

Based at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama, the food, beverage and merchandise manager is responsible for the effective leadership of venue operations including event planning, promotion, menu planning, inventory control standards, compliance with alcohol service policies, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer recruitment, training and supervision. Venue manager oversees the operations of Premium, Concession and Merchandise during event and non-event periods. Partner with business unit leadership to manage operations and marketing strategies to increase revenues and guest satisfaction while providing financial analysis, streamlining operations and effectively managing costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong Leadership, Management, Planning and Coaching Skills
  • Staffing - proper staffing levels; setting goals and expectations and training
  • Ability to drive consistency and strategic and innovative initiatives
  • Work with the management staff to identify and evaluate strategies
  • Monitor all event activity to ensure proper planning and execution for events
  • Execute food and beverage policies and procedures
  • Continue education on Tips Training Programs, safety programs and the Department of Health's regulation as they apply to food service handling
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate on various levels to include Senior Management, BU Management, Marketing, Community Leaders, customer and sponsors.
  • Proficient computer skills to include various internal programs, Microsoft Office programs, email and internet
  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience
  • Exceptional fiscal management skills including financial analysis, budget creation, forecasting, labor and inventory control and P&L oversight
     

Qualifications/Education Requirements:
This position requires at least 5 years of experience successfully managing venues in sports and entertainment, theme park or similar environment. Experience managing in a fast-paced environment with focus on providing innovative hospitality, high quality food and beverage services as well as experience in retail merchandise within a venue. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, planning, and organizational abilities. Candidates should be able to work independently, multi-task, solve problems, and collaborate with other staff at all levels. Candidates must demonstrate excellent skills in verbal and written communication.

Job Summary:
