Business Development Manager - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

Description:  Position reports directly to the Director of Business Development. Position will be responsible for generating sales in the all areas of the track, including sponsorship, display, signage and corporate hospitality.  Responsibilities will also include all event coordination and logistics in relation to assigned fulfillment areas, database management, and coordination with various internal departments, including ticketing, consumer marketing and public relations.

Candidate will be responsible for putting together aggressive programs for increased sales of available track inventory. Position will be responsible for maintaining existing client base and pursing new business sales initiatives from both inside and outside sales. Candidate must have strong presentation skills, networking skills and computer skills including experience with inventory management software.

 Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Sponsorship, signage, display and hospitality sales strategy and execution

  • Work daily in Company inventory management software system (EBMS)

  • Sells full menu (sponsorship, group, etc.) of inventory

  • Develop new inventory for corporate sales

  • Servicing existing customers

  • Hospitality event tickets and credentials

  • Inside sales and outside sales required

  • Promotional campaigns and database management

  • Work with ticket office with up-selling group tickets as part of sponsorship programs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to establish effective relationships within the workplace

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing
     
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage time and resources effectively
     
  • Detail oriented and self-directed
     
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Qualifications:

  • College degree, preferably in related business field, i.e. Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management

  • 3 years minimum sales experience, preferably in sports environment

  • Must be able to work in a team environment interacting with multiple departments

  • Must be well-organized with attention to detail

Consumer Marketing Trainee - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)

  • Execute promotional marketing appearances and build brand awareness within the Talladega Superspeedway key markets including Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, Mobile, and Atlanta.
  • Play key role in consumer marketing data collection, evaluation, processing, and management.
  • Consumer Marketing:
    • Assist with staffing and assets requirements for each TSS promotional event

Event Ticketing Staff - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)







POSITION SUMMARY
Talladega Superspeedway has openings for part-time Event Ticketing Staff for NASCAR and other publicly ticketed events throughout the year. This is a temporary position working on-site at Talladega Superspeedway assisting with event ticketing. Event Ticketing Staff are often the first representatives to greet fans and must provide exceptional customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a staff member working in one of our ticket box offices, providing exceptional customer service to all event patrons. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Selling tickets to all walk-up customers utilizing the Fantracker ticketing software
    • Printing & distributing tickets to customers who have selected Will Call
    • Handling camping registration and check-in
    • Process multiple forms of payment, including cash and credit card
  • Develop a working knowledge of Talladega Superspeedway pricing, policies, procedures and general event information. As the first line for guest questions, Event Ticketing Staff must be able to answer questions or direct guests in the proper direction.
  • Assist with other duties assigned by Ticket Supervisors or the Director of Ticketing.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and ability to provide a high level of customer service is required
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high energy environment
  • Event staffing or ticket sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience using computer software programs preferred
  • Flexible schedule during the event
  • Ability to attend training session(s) prior to the event
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation to and from Talladega Superspeedway


OTHER INFO
This is a part time, hourly position working only during major event weekends. Some shifts may begin as early as 7:00am; exact hours to be determined.

Event Time Only Camping Gate Staff - Talladega Superspeedway (Talladega, AL)







These positions are for the 2016 season here at Talladega SuperSpeedway. Please begin to apply now, those selected for interviews will be contacted and interviewed in April 2016.

Responsibilities:

The Camping Gate Staff are an important part of the Talladega SuperSpeedway Experience.  As a member of the Camping Crew you will be responsible for bringing our guest an unforgettable racing experience from the minute they drive on TSS property. Other responsibilities include:

  • Any duties assigned by TSS administration or Gate Operations Supervisors

  • Thumping Guest RVs, and checking for camping placards

  • Enforcing Speedway policies and procedures

  • Providing event information to all guests

  • Checking your area before gates open to make sure all is in working order

Gate Staff are only used during specified publicly ticketed events throughout the year, and will be assigned shifts based on needs by the Guest Services Department. Shifts range from 8 – 12 hours but depends on race finish times, and will pay a rate of $7.75 an hour.

 Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Fast learner

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment

  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Summary

Manager of Concession Services is responsible for the overall operation of a concession facility. This involves not only running the concession facility during an event, but also handling all the planning & preparation before the event and after as well.  Will partner with FBM Manager, culinary and location leadership to design and execute high quality presentations, and exceed fan expectations while maximizing revenue, controlling expenses.
