Marketing Coordinator - Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach, FL)

The Marketing Coordinator is a key role within the Daytona International Speedway (DIS) Marketing Department. The coordinator will assist on execution of digital marketing on the DIS website, social media channels, email and through the mobile app. The Marketing Coordinator will be entrenched in the event time responsibilities and lead several important fan initiatives including the DAYTONA Rewards program and autograph session logistics. The Marketing Coordinator will also work closely with the operations department on critical event schedules including pace car and grand marshal car movement as well as the comprehensive event weekend schedule. The Marketing Coordinator should be marketing generalist ready to go above and beyond what is asked to help support the entire team.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Manager to execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to accomplish Daytona’s objectives of ticket sales, engagement and platform growth.

  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager with content plan execution on DIS digital platforms, including the DIS website, social media, and mobile app.

  • Assist the Digital Marketing Manager on executing social media strategy for Daytona International Speedway to engage fans and drive sales.  

  • Research the market for latest innovative trends and brainstorm creative growth strategies.

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Director to develop and execute paid digital campaign strategy

  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager and Strategic Communications Manager with the development of email campaigns.

  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager with data for dashboards for digital marketing efforts.

  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager and Consumer Marketing team with graphic and motion content for digital channels.

  • Provide assistance to all marketing team members as needed.

 

Event Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics and execution of the DAYTONA Rewards (fan rewards) program.

  • Manage logistics and coordinate with operations department for autograph session execution.

  • Develop pace car and grand marshal car schedule and manage movements of cars during event day.

  • Coordinate with Event Marketing Director to develop and maintain comprehensive event schedule.

  • Coordinate with Event Marketing Director to manage Lake Lloyd activities and logistics.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Four year college degree from an accredited program; Emphasis in marketing or communications

  • Marketing experience, especially agency or sports property experience, is a plus

  • Experience with coding in HTML preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

  • Proficient in Adobe suite of products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver). Experience in graphic design and video editing is a plus.

  • Familiar with content management systems and web publishing systems

  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with strong communication skills

  • Must be able to work extended hours and event weekends

  • True self-motivated team player and collaborator
